Silktail: [atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=b8261f] Kit - Silktail the sick feeling Words - 272 Muse - DEAD Time - Just after the gathering Where? - Just outside the camp, several foxlengths away Weather - Dark, cold, and all round miserable Involved - Thunderclan, Burningpaw, Stormeyes Notes - I feels icky =<
Silktail trudged back to camp a little behind her clan. She felt horrible, sick, and her stomach hurt. She should have stayed at camp, her kits were due very soon, but with all but a few cats healthy, she would have to hunt even whilst she had kits.
Silktail fell forward into the mud. She gasped in pain, her gasp echoing throughout the wood around them. Stormeyes whipped around, and saw the queen-to-be lying on the floor. He ran towards her, calling for a few warriors.
Silktail shook her head. "I'm not going to be able to get back to camp..." She grimaced. "The kits are coming... Get Twinetail!" She gasped. If the kits were born out here in the cold mud, they may not survive, and she may not either. She wanted Twinetail to see his kits.
Burningpaw, who was walking ahead of Thunderclan, heard the commotion. It was Silktail. She ran into camp, grabbing herbs, noticing the still body of Snowleaf. Burningpaw nearly cried out, Snowleaf had died.
She ran back, ignoring Snowleaf's cold still body. Silktail had to be dealt with first, or she and her kits would die.

Abyssus: [atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=18377E] Count: 373 Kitty: Dusky the worried Involved: Silktail, Burningpaw, TC Notes:
Dusky appeared at the scene of Silktail's birthing, carrying a dull brown bird in her mouth. She had seen a birth before, and she knew it was very chaotic. Dusky watched as Silktail begged favors of a few cats. They ran off the their asked duties, and soon it was Silktail and that herby-smelling cat she had not yet met, seemingly alone. Dusky hadn't gone to the gathering, but she was
The calico cat ran over to Lionfur's friend. She was bearing kits, no doubt about it. Thoughts whirled through Dusky's head, wondering what she could do, and then thoughts of her getting in the way crowded her head.
Sand. They needed something soft. Like the sand at the bottom of the barn. None was to be found. Dusky saw something soft that was in the woods near the barn where she used to live. Moss! There was a tiny patch of it next to a tree that surrounded the camp. Dusky reached down, and plucked it out of the ground. Dirt filled her mouth, and some bits of moss flaked down, but eventually she had the moss next to Silktail. Dusky placed it near where the kits would birth. It was barely anything. Dusky looked up at the cat who was helping the birthing queen. "What can I do to help? Fetch any plants, cats, help you get her to camp?" Dusky talked fast, not wanting to stand still for long. Only a few seconds after Dusky had said that, she was looking around the forest for a patch of moss that was in a place where it could be obtained.
The wind blew harshly at Dusky's fur. If the cold kits were to be born in this spot, They'd freeze quickly-- if their mother didn't freeze first! It was cold enough to freeze water, and it was in the dead of a cloudy night.
Dusky's night vision didn't prove to be that good at finding anything. She could make out the shapes and edges of most things, but a good portion of the items in the forest were dark, unable to contrast well. Dusky could only hope everything came out well..

Silktail: [atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=b8261f] Kit - Silktail the mother-to-be and Burningpaw the medicine cat Words - 422 Muse - okay I guess Time - Just after the gathering Where? - Just outside the camp, several foxlengths away Weather - Dark, cold, and all round miserable Involved - Thunderclan, Dusky Notes - TEH PAIN DDD=
Silktail thanked Dusky in a quiet voicew as she lay her head back on the ground. Burningpaw returned with the enssecary herbs, giving Silktail some thyme. Burningpaw licked Silktail's head as she groaned in agony.
"Dusky, can you and some other warriors find some other soft things that Silktail can lay on? I also need something to cover the kits, or someone to keep them warm. Silktail has lost a lot of heat..." Burningpaw said, running her tail along Silktail's flank.
"Push Silktail!" Some cats called as the she-cat let out a cry of desperation, calling out Twinetail's name. The grey-silver she-cat pushed, and a fairly large, white kit, with black spots on his rump was brought into a cold world.
"Polarkit..." Silktail smiled, lifting her head up to see her first kit. She felt another coming, and pushed again. The next kit was also a tom, black, with brown splotches and a white stomach, just like his father. Silktail let out a laugh; having kits was not as easy as her mother had told her.
Burningpaw licked the two kits, nudging them towards their mother's stomach. THe third kit was coming, but something was wrong. The tiny kit wasn't being born in the normal way, head first. She was rump first. "Oh no." Burningpaw raced down to Silktail's rump, desperately tugging at the small kit. She was tiny, and when Burningpaw managed to pull her out, she thought it was too late.
She lay her ear on the tiny kit's chest; she was breathing! Burningpaw licked the tiny kit furoiusly, she would not die, not this tiny clone of her mother. Silktail lifted her head, looking at her last kit.
"Barkkit..." She indicated to her second kit, "And Buzzardkit..." She flopped her head on the ground. It was over, finally. However, the drama of somehow managing to get the tired mother and her tiny kits to camp was soon to begin, or all four would die.

Abyssus: [atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=18377E] Count: 181 Kitty: Dusky the worried Involved: Silktail, Burningpaw, TC Notes: fail muse
The night was chilling, and Dusky was still pretty confused. "I'll carry the weaker kit and the brown one to camp. Burningpaw, try to keep the other one warm. He seems to have a lot of fur, though, so he should be fine for a minute or two." Dusky, without waiting for approval, took the two kits by the scruff of the neck, and carried them into camp. Her eyes looked around the camp frantically, trying to remember where the nursery was.
She remembered Lionfur showing her around.. it was only a moon or so ago.. Dusky looked to the den that clicked first in her mind. As she rushed in, she saw moss all over the ground, fresh and new. Dusky lay down the kits slowly on the moss. They were unable to meow, but they were squirming about, a lot. Dusky buried them to their bellies in a little bit of moss, and then dashed out of the nursery to the forest again, hoping the big white kit would still be alive.. it was such a cold night.

Silktail: [atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=e6df63] Kit - Burningpaw the rushing Words - 191 Muse - Meh Time - After the gatering Weather - Miserable, cold Notes - Run run run!!!
Burningpaw lifted up the fluffy white kit. Polarkit was a great name, and she ran towards the nursery with the kit hanging from her jaws, as close to her own body as she could get him.
She saw the kits half buried in the moss, and gently placed the kit next to his siblings. Troublepaw raced in, offering to keep her niece and nephews warm with her body. Burningpaw thanked Troublepaw, and ran back to where Silktail was.
"Stormeyes, Dusky, anyone, help me get Silktail back to camp before she dies out here!" Burningpaw said, getting her head under one of Silktail's legs. Stormeyes did the same, almost lifting the dainty she-cat up off the ground. Stormeyes grunted under her weight, waiting for someone else to come and help him and the apprentice.

Twilight:
Destinycall raced forward, having heard the drama. She had recently been lagging behind the group, contemplating, but when she heard her dear friend, Silktail, she raced as fast as her pregnant weighed legs would take her. She got there just as the kits were being carried off, and she dashed forward. Her friend had to be helped. This couldn't be good. Though her belly was swollen, she helped anyways. She heft her friends head up by gently grabbung Silktail's neck in her jaws, and lifting up. The blue-grey tabby queen flicked her tail as her violet gaze was worried. For her friend, her kits, and the kits in the helping queen's belly. She grunted to let Storneyes and Burningoaw know she was ready to take her friend anywhere to help her and her kits.
~
Barkkit was squirming and squeling in the nursery. He wanted his mother, but she wasn't there. He lifted his tiny head, breathing in the air. It still felt starnge going down his throat and into his lungs. He let out another large squel, while squirming with his paws and tail. He was unintentionally hitting his littermates, Polarkit and Buzzardkit.

Patchstar:
Kit- Patchstar the Somewhat confused Words- 214 Notes- Sorry, I don't have time right now to get my table, I have to go D=
Patchstar heard frantic mews coming from the nursery. He sat up in his den, curious. Some more mews met his ears. "A poorly kit or something?" He mewed, looking out into the cold of the evening. "Maybe I should look..." He felt his eyes closing, though, but not for long, as some more frantic mews opened them again. He got up and padded out of the den.
Patchstar pushed through the winds to the den and found the three kits curled up in the moss. One was frantically kicking the others, as if he was trying to use them as steps to get up. Patchstar gave a mew of exclamation before rushing over to the squirming kit. A thought struck him as he licked it's head to calm it down. This kit certainly resembles Silktail... if she's had her kits in the cold, should I go to her and help get her back to camp? He made up his mind, and, after calming the kits down a little, raced out of camp.
Patchstar arrived in a few minutes to the group of cats trying to get Silktail back to camp. As Destinycall had her scruff, and Stormeyes and Burningpaw had her legs, Patchstar crouched under her and supported her middle.

Dapplecloud:
Twinetail sprinted to his mate. He had been hunting when he recieved the news that Silktail was giving birth. He knew he wasn't going to make it in time, but he had tried to get there. He could see them now, in the camp. He ran up to his mate and started licking her all over. It was a cold night, and he knew she needed to be kept warm.
"Silky...I'm so sorry I couldn't make it in time for your kitting...Please don't be mad...I love you...." Twinetail rubbed up against her and licked her head. He regretted not being able to have been there to see the kits. He felt so bad about missing one of the most important events that would ever happen to her.
"Let's go to the nursery and see our kits, Silky." He licked her again and started to help her to the nursery.
~
Buzzardkit curled up in a ball and whimpered. She was hungry, she really wanted her mother and she was so so cold. She shuffled away a bit from her siblings; they scared her. They were warm, but bigger than her and they were noisier than her.
She whimpered again. She wanted her mum.

Silktail:
Silktail licked Twinetail gently. "It's okay..." She whsipered. "I can always have more kits, can't I?" She smiled a little as the cats took her to the nursery, where Troublepaw lay with the kits. Troublepaw stood up, and Silktail was being layed down next to her kits. She licked them all in turn, and dragged them to her stomach. "Their names are Polarkit, Buzzardkit and Barkkit..." She said to Twinetail. "Is that alright?"
Troublepaw smiled at her sister. The kits were so adorable, and she was yearning for her own, but she was not yet a warrior, nor did she have a mate. She sighed gently, before trotting outside, leaving the young couple alone with their kits.
Burningpaw watched Silktail and her kits carefully from outside, and smiled as they mewled and latched onto their mother.
