Stupid she-cat. Dumb as hell she was, leaving the tom she loved because she felt responsible for his mother not being a warrior any more, when she was nursing too... It was horrible, this feeling. It was in her gut, wrenching away at her, making her sadder and sadder with each passing day. She was an immature little she-cat, she thought, as she padded along the twoleg path that wound it's way through ThunderClan territory like an adder. She'd followed it since the lake, because there was one thing she wanted in this world:
Polarpelt.
She'd confessed her love to him after the battle at his camp. She hadn't seen him since, and now, she pined for him, wishing he was here with all her heart and mind. This was wrong, her loving a tom from another clan, but that was how she'd come to be. Her mother, Destinycall, met her father, then Milkydew, in a battle. They met again on the bridge a while after, and mated. That was when she, Blacksnow and the now deceased Whitepaw and Featherkit were consumated. She still sorely missed her poor brother, Whitepaw. Those twolegs... They'd taken him away from his family in the mountains. She missed him like she missed Polarpelt, and all her friends in ThunderClan, and everyone... She missed them so much.
As she mused over her past, she remembered being trained alongside the little tom. He'd always been after her, ever since they were kits he'd liked her. Leaving him... that had broke both of their hearts, but Polarpelt was the only thing that kept her in ThunderClan. Her whole family lived in RiverClan, and they were blood, but if Blossomfire had her way, she would share her blood with Polarpelt in a forbidden litter as her parents had done. It didn't seem that bad, seeing as she'd been conceived the same way. Just as long as StarClan saw their love was so strong, and their hearts had been torn apart from leaving each other. She'd overhead at one gathering that Polarpelt had resorted to catmint to drown away his sorrow. It was sad, but Blossomfire needed him right now.
The she-cat had washed herself in the lake beforehand. She barely smelled of herself now, only of water. Oh wait, water meant RiverClan. The she-cat looked around, trying to find something to mask her scent. There was a bit of a muddy puddle towards her right. The she-cat padded over quickly, and drenched herself in mud. It coated her fur, making her feel dirty, but, her scent was masked. She just smelled of mud. That was good, until a bit of mud got in her eye.
"Ow," she muttered, blinking furiously. The mud came out, but her eye was killing her now. She shook of the pain; she was a warrior! A bit of mud in the eye couldn't hurt. Then, the she-cat got back to the path, and walked onwards. She smelled a patrol, and leapt into the bushes. The warriors were laughing, and walked past without another look. She stared at them. Polarpelt wasn't there, but Ruffledpelt and Buzzardwing and Barktree were. Damn, where was he? She needed him... She wanted to hold him, to drink in his scent, to love him like no other she-cat had.
Then, a thought struck her.
What if he'd found another? That thought made Blossomfire's stomach twist inside. Butterflies filled her stomach, bees buzzed in her head. She felt physically sick, seriously sick. She pushed the thought down, deep down, and buried it in her mind. Then, the patrol disappeared. Good, Blossomfire could come out of the bush now. It prickled against her fur, and leaves stuck to the mud. She looked a right mess; what would Polarpelt think? Oh dear, that wouldn't go down well, unless he loved her as he had said those moons ago.
Blossomfire's feet were cracked and sore as she walked on the concrete path. Then, a scent caught her nose: Polarpelt! But, another scent mingled with it. A she-cat's scent. Who was it? She didn't know. Perhaps a new apprentice... What to do? Was he training her? Blossomfire felt a pang of jealousy run down her spine. Then, the apprentice's scent dissapated. Was she gone? Blossomfire took gentle steps forward, careful not to crush the ice too much.
He was just down that hill. He was facing away, and there was ice on the hill. The only way the poor tabby could get down was to slide. Gingerly, Blossomfire placed a foot on the ice. Slippery as hell. But, it was her only chance to see Polarpelt again. Another foot met the ice, then another, and then, she lost her footing, and slid violently down the hill, crashing into Polarpelt.
After the two stopped sliding, she pulled herself up. The mud was off her pelt now, but she was freezing! Her teeth chattering together, the she-cat spoke softly. "P-polarpelt?" Came her sweet, sing-song voice. She'd missed him so much. "I-I need to speak to y-you."

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=21784C] the count;; 299 the puppet;; Polarpelt the involved;; Silverpaw, Leopardfang the notes;; i''m sorry i controlled silverpaw here sorry :[
Polarpelt was walking through the forest, Silverpaw and Leopardheart by him. He had decided to go out to train Silverpaw, and Leopardheart had come too, probably just to triple check for safety, or to be with Polarpelt. Polarpelt hoped for the last one, since even though she was no Blossomfire, she'd still make a good mate.
Polarpelt stopped rigid when he smelled dirt, and mud from the last rain. He turned around at Silverpaw and Leopardheart. "I think I smell a rogue. Silverpaw, go back to camp. Leopardheart, please make sure she gets there safely."
Silverpaw opened his mouth to protest, but Leopardheart lay her tail over his mouth, and they both walked back to camp, after a nod from Leopardheart. Polarpelt stalked forward, hoping to catch the new cat by surprise. Maybe it was FireClan. He unsheathed his claws as he came closer..
Crash! The cat slid down some ice, was hit Polarpelt, knocking him over for a moment. Polarpelt stood on his four paws again, and began to growl, but stopped when he heard the voice.
"Polarpelt? I-I can to speak to you.."
Who was it. It made him freeze for a split moment, not able to identify the voice. It was so familiar, but.. Blossomfire! That was who it was! Polarpelt wanted to purr, but he didn't know what she was here for. And he needed to distance himself from cats from other Clans.
"Then say it." Polarpelt growled rather coldly to her. He did love her, but he would not betray the Warrior Code. It was times like these that such laws shouldn't be dared to be broken. He needed to stay hostile, like she was an enemy. This was no civil gathering, this was a trespasser on ThunderClan's land!

Blossomfre flinched as Polarpelt hissed at her. She shrank back, scared. She shut her eyes, and turned her head away. "Maybe I won't tell you now, seeing as you're treating me as a hostile." She meowed, standing up fully, sadly. Her fur didn't stand on end, but drooped. Her tail fell between her hind legs.
"I was going to come and ask for you to be my mate, and I know what you're gonna say. 'Yeah, whatever, against the warrior code blah blah blah.', but it's just normal to me, seeing it's what my parents had done. But maybe you've already found a she-cat, and maybe you should be happy." Blossomfire meowed.
She started to claw her way up the frozen hill, only failing and sliding back down. Again she tried, then twice, then a third time. "Urgh! Stupid hill!" She hissed at it, trying to climb back up. This time, she did it with a little more success.
She now stood on the top of the hill, looking down at Polarpelt. The sun was behind her, so she looked more like a silhouette. Tears welled up in her eyes. "I came to tell you I've missed you! My father's noticed how I've become more depressed, and I've heard how you can't keep away from the catmint since I left. I wasn't born yesterday you know, and I know who I love." Blossomfire meowed, looking down again. She stood, and turned.
"I may well just go home and die... all my family are happy except for me. Hell, Tigerfrost's got a mate, Blacksnow's the deputy and mom's just had another litter! All my siblings, my nephews, my parents.... they're all as happy as could be, and I'm just down in the dumps because I cant be with the one I love because I can't bear to face him because when I see his eyes, I'm reminded of the she-cat I nearly got killed when she was still nursing kits."

Polarpelt's heart sank. "It hurts us both to stay apart, but the gash would only grow infected if we were to become more than friends, Blossomfire! Imagine having split kits, and the betrayed feeling they have when they find that they're Half-Clan!" The words seemed to pang him every time he said it, but he kept telling himself it was all for the greater good. They would probably never be together, and Blossomfire would likely hate his guts once this was through, but he couldn't break the warrior code. Taking out his depression was one thing.. becoming mates wouldn't solve anything.
Polarpelt didn't want her to be sad, to die, to die alone, but she needed to move on, just like Polarpelt had been trying to do. "We're in different Clans, we will never truly be happy if we can't just leave these pieces of what love we had. We'll both just need to love again." It didn't sound right, but Polarpelt could not become mates with her. No matter how pretty, nice, and perfect for him she was, she was a journey away, and he didn't know who would approve and disapprove of their decision. Maybe RiverClan would hate him from now on, for breaking their daughter's heart. There was a slim chance them being mates would be for the better. But there was a bigger chance it was for the worse. And Polarpelt just cowered at the very thought of screwing everything up.

Blossomfire narrowed her eyes. "I'll know how they felt, I can tell them how to cope, how to deal with the crap of being a 'halfie', all the looks you'll get 'cause your mom went to RiverClan and pissed off and left you for some idiot who leads RiverClan, and as a result there's a battle that kills the father of my nephews." She meowed.
"And yeah," she said. "Maybe I am better off without you. Maybe I deserve better than a depressed tom who eats catnip because he can't get over me. Yeah, maybe I will just leave and go home and get a mate and have kits and be a good little warrior. But no, I don't want that, I want to have kits with the one I love, not just to carry on the family bloody line!"
Blossomfire paused, and stood up. "I'm going. Tell your leader I was here, or whatever. I know what it's like living up to your leader daddy, but at least you don't have sister deputy and nephew medicine cat. I've never been happy without you Polarpelt... I thought..." she paused. "I thought we had something." she meowed, preceeding to walk away.
