Destinycall's silver tabby pelt flashed ino the Thunderclan camp. Her violet eyes blazed with anger, her claws churned the ground. "They stole Mothkit! They stole my daughter's son, and mine and Milkystar's grandson! This has gone to far!" She caught her breath and managed to control her claws, and went on calmly. "Addertongue has been sent tor equest Nightstar's help. I was sent here to request your help. And now I ask for it. Will you join with RiverClan to raid FireClan and ShadowClan, to fight them, and if everything goes right, to rescure Mothkit?" She lashed her striped tail back and forth, expecting their answer.
[[ Who wants dibs on saving Mothkit? ]]

Leopardheart, ThunderClan's deputy, was out to listen to the queen. She seemed worried when she ran in, and when she gave her case, Leopardheart's tail waved, not quite sure while to do.
"This is hard for ThunderClan to agree to, and I'm sure I speak for most warriors, and the Clan's welfare when I say this. We will have to decline your request for now, our cats all need recovery time. ThunderClan suffered the worst wounds, and all of our healthy warriors need to hunt overtime to feed all of the injured mouths." Leopardheart explained, curling her tail around her feet. She sighed. She was one of the least injured cats, and she was too concerned trying to fill out patrols, and other things.
"ThunderClan would usually agree, and follow you with most haste, you must understand, we are in no way being shallow in this current denial." she meowed, trying to keep her voice calm. Something in her mind told her the judgement was made too soon, they could spare a few warriors..
"ShadowClan and FireClan are pretty damaged, I'd imagine. What interest would any of them have in a kit? From what I gathered, Shadestar looks two faced and merciless, and I'd bet he is, but it takes a whole new stage of evil to let a kit suffer, especially if he is so protective of his own." she wasn't too sure in what she was saying. She wanted the kit saved, but she didn't want a suicide mission either. Leopardheart looked at the queen, and looked out in the forest.
"Twinestar's out on patrol, hunting. I would catch up with him, state your business, and then make sure he hears my say. Twinestar's a great leader, and I confide in him greatly, I just don't want him to make a hasty decision that could hurt us all in the end." Leopardheart finished, bowing her head to Destinycall. While she was somewhat mad at Destinycall for leaving ThunderClan over a mate, Leopardheart knew deep inside that she would have done the same thing. "He's likely by the twoleg path, restoring the borders. We may be able to spare a few warriors, but don't get your hopes up.."

Destinycall's hopes fell, but her flaring anger towards the Harlot who stole her grandson ramined. She sat, catching the remainder of her breath. She finally spoke. "You're judgement is wise. However, we as a Clan are risking ourselves, but then again, it is our kit. Ironically, though, Blacksnoaw has begged us not to take any of ShadowClan or FireClan kits. Whatever reasons are her own, I'm just trying to figure out the best way to go about this. I would never harm a kit, but, there is just this temptation to do to them what they did to you. But from what I hear from your point of view, you agree that they have gone to far. It seems that the right course of action would be to wait until more warriors are more fit for battle... Oh! Ecxuse me, I'm dithering again. I do that when I'm thinking. But, thank you. I'll go to Twinestar now."

the Cat* Twinestar the Noted* Hehe will repay you... the Number* 266
Twinestar was out on patrol with a few cats, his alert on high. Then, in the distance upwind, he caught a faint Riverclan scent. This was no stale scent from the battle. This was fresh. He had to doubt that Riverclan would attack, and there couldn't be more than two cats - it was a weak smell. Maybe that of a cat who needed help.
Whoever it was, they were headed back to camp. Turning to the rest of the party, he mewled "A cat from Riverclan is on the way. I'm going back to camp. Everyone else, keep going." A few curt nods of the head, and he was off. He hastened through the forest at a brisk pace, nearly trotting, but not quite. He was still tired from the battle, and Shadestar had fought good.
He arrived, just as Leopardheart was almost out. As soon as he actually got into camp, he saw Destinycall. "What is going on here?" he heard her out, and then Leopardheart. Disagreements. He sighed, and took in a deep breath. Finally, he spoke.
"I owe Riverclan my deepest gratitude for coming to our aid. Leopardheart, go see if theer are any warriors who are able and willing to go. Make sure that Burningflame gives them a check on that. Destinycall, you are welcome to stay until we are ready to attack. Then, I will lead everyone who can come, and we will attack Shadowclan and Fireclan." And that was that. He sat down and licked himself, preparing for another fight. And this time, Shadestar, I will beat you.

She turned her surprised violet eyes on the tabby leader. She gaped, then remembering her manners, snapped her jaws shut. She watched as a few cats in camp became busy seeing who was fit. She turned back to Twinestar with a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Twinestar. Milkystar wants the greatest revenge he can get. He is very protective of his blood. Don't get me wrong, I am to, but he is more protective than I am. Kind of surprising really, that the father should be more protective than the mother. But, that harlot and those two toms did leave our daughter a wreck, We came back into camp from helping you, and the poor thing. She was asleep, twitching and having nightmares. She woke up yowling Mothkit's name. She described to us how Mothkit had tried to help her by attacking the tom, but Jade, the harlot, took him hostage. She thought she was doing the right thing by abandoning him and keeping herself from getting injured further, and likely killed, with the little herbs the raid had left untouched, which was only a leaf or two. Now, though, she's not sure she did the right thing at all." she sighed again and looked deep into the leader's eyes, pity on her face. "I hope I'll never have to make the decision she made. I hope I never even have to go what that poor she-cat has been through. Though, when you assemble, I think Milkystar's intentipons were to attack together. I'm not entirely sure though. I never heard him say."

Leopardheart's heart dropped when she heard Twinestar's verdict. We owe RiverClan, surely. But we don't owe RiverClan with a suicide mission! Leopardheat's icy blue eyes started wandering, as she noticed herself was torn. She cared for every cat in the Clan, though she didn't want to leave the poor kit to her death.
Leopardheart looked at Twinestar. "Twinestar, you know that we can send only the absolute minimum warriors, correct? If we send any more than a few warriors, ThunderClan will grow hungry with more injured and unable mouths to feed. I agree that we should help RiverClan get their kit back, but do you think that you can wait a few days, just so some of our warriors can recover? Burningflame won't like this decision, but.." she asked the question to Destinycall, though the rest of what she said had all been directed at Twinestar. Her tail waved, unsure of what to do.

Troubleseeker twitched her tail. "Leopardheart, please. Put yourself in Destinycall's or Blacksnow's position. A kit; a helpless kit, has been taken. They have the right to take him back." the she-cat said. As a mother herself, she knew what Blacksnow must be feeling. "If Fogpaw or Silverpaw had been taken as kits, I would be distraught, and out for revenge. It is only right we help them." She meowed. "Leopardheart, once you have kits, you will know the burning love we have for our young, and the lengths we go to protect them."

"Yes, Troubleseeker is right. The love I feel everytime I look at my blood... it is unimaginable. A feeling of great love. Yes, Leopardheart, we can only send so many, but... I will go, and I am sure there are others who will too. There is no telling what Fireclan and Shadowclan will do to the kit. We don't have much time, and this is how we will repay Riverclan. Destinycall, go to Windclan. Make sure they are convinced. Then, when everyone is ready, we will all attack Shadowclan." he mewled solomnly.
He was ready to take on the mission, to fight once more - for the sake of a kit. If one of his kits had been stolen, he would do the same thing. With this in mind, he whispered to Leopardheart. He told her to go, and find any cats who would be fit enough. Thunderclan woyld do all that they could to save the kit.

"Oh yes, I know that a mother's bonds are so strong to her kits. But the Clan are my kits, and to see each one of them starving and hurting is a cuff to the heart with each cat!" Leopardheart growled to Troubleseeker, fur starting to prickle. "We are ThunderClan, and I believe that we are beginning to forget our priorities. We run around and help other Clans as if they were us, not our rivals, while our Clan hurts as much, if not more, than them."
Leopardheart said this to Troubleseeker, her eyes burning to the she-cat. When you have kits, when you have kits.. It was almost taunting, how she knew that even if there was a male out there for her, with her position, a mate would be out of the question, being deputy. She had to be ready to replace the leader at any time, not caring for kits. Oh, and the more ironic, how Troubleseeker seemed to be talking down to her, despite Leopardheart being higher in position, and older, at that!
"Twinestar, the only cats who have avoided being seriously hurt are Burningflame, you, Swirlfur, Jaypaw, Stormeyes, Lionesspaw, and I!" Leopardheart growled. Twinestar was too willing to help the cats.. didn't he just say to let them go if they wanted to? What if all of the cats had the ThunderClan spirit still pulsing through them, and Leopardheart was the only one back at camp stressing herself further. "It's still late at night, and all of our warriors should be down resting. We need more time, or else we'll endanger ThunderClan!"
Never deny a kit in danger. Never deny a kit in danger. The rule pulsed through her head, and by fighting against going, she'd be breaking the warrior code. But by sending her cats to fight, she'd be disloyal to her Clan, sending them into such a dangerous environment when they couldn't fight, putting them under pressure to go..
She clamped her mouth shut when the thoughts swirled around here. "I shall go and collect cats, Twinestar, as it seems that you won't understand the dangers a battle at this time could cause." Leopardheart sighed finally, walking away to the warriors den.

Destinycall's soft voice chimed in before she ran to WindClan. "You forget to then, that I was once a kit of yours. Just because I am now aRiverClanner does not change that fact. And besides, the other clans are as bad off as you are. The cold is driving fish and creatures from the River. Rabbits are staying in their dens, not coming out. RiverClanners may look fat and healthy, but belive me, we are no worse off than any of the clans. And also, the other clans have run to your help a time or two as well. But right now, differences such as scent and borders and prey should not matter. These cats have been here for much to long and need to be irradicated or completely driven out. Even if we kill ourselves doing it, StarClan give us the spirit to keep going when our bodies are telling s to stop. That is the life of a warrior. We die and live protecting our clans and our territory, even if we have to ask help to do it." Her silver pelt dashed out of camp, heading to WindClan, to inform Nightstar of ThunderClan's decision and see if Addertongue had persuaded the prickly, proud, WindClan leader to join in.

"The moment you left ThunderClan territory, you were supposed to be our enemy," Leopardheart meowed. "Being born here has nothing to do with it. We are not of the same Clan. You didn't switch Clans because you needed to. You did at your own convience. And you expect ThunderClan to act like we're your best friends, despite deserting us. Hmph." Leopardheart trailed off, mainly talking to herself by the last sentences.
Great StarClan, this is so mouse-brained. Please, let everyone come home okay..

"Wait! Leopardheart!" Twinestar mewled, flicking his tail in annoyance. His deputy could be right... but he was unsure. "Leopardheart, I... I don't know. I've just promised Destinycall, but.. maybe you're right. I know how you feel, it's just that, well, I don't know. I feel oblidged to help them, and if we don't go now, then who knows what Fireclan will do. If you truly wish, than you may go fetch Destinycall and anger Riverclan. I respect your opinion. Or maybe it would be best to talk to Burningflame. I don't know, it's just... the forest is so out of balance right now. The only thing I can think to do is to put Shadestar in his place, and how I so wish to. Him and Redeyes... for Silktail. Either way, it suppose it is up to you. I am obviously not being very logical, in your eyes. No matter what, I will go and help Riverclan. It is up to you whether anyone else goes, but I have a feeling that some other cats would like to repay their debt to..." He sighed, and then held his breath, waiting for his deputy's decision. Whether they would go into battle.

Leopardheart looked at Twinestar. "Twinestar, I don't want the battle called off. I want the kit saved just as much as Destinycall does. Should I fetch Destinycall and see if the fight can possibly be postponed?" Leopardheart offered, sitting down, and curling her tail around her paws. She thought for a few moments, and then spoke again. "You're right, Twinestar. Speaking to Burningflame would be the right thing to do. She can predict the recovery times, and will tell us if there's a sign from StarClan as to what we need to do." Leopardheart nodded at the leader, and got up, pacing away towards the near medicine cat's den.
She just hoped the Burningflame wasn't more stressed than she was..

Lionesspaw came into camp, two fairly skinny squirrels in her jaws. She offered one to Silktail, then took one to Burningflame's den, before coming back out. She went up to her leader and deputy, flivking her tail. "I know it's not right to eavesdrop, but I came back to the camp entrance a while ago, and I'e heard much of this argument. I'm beginning to hate Fireclan as much as any cat. But whatever decision is made, I would like to ask permission to fight them with Riverclan, and possibly WindClan if they agree. Now, don't go telling me that I'm not prepared, because honestly I know I'm not. But, if it would get some more of the warriors to accept me as a clan cat that has the heart of one, I'll do it. Some of the warriors look down on me as if I'm a kittypet forced upon them that is just laying around, and not contributing. So, if this in any way can help me prove myself to the clan, I'll do it." She flicked her golden tail and her amber eyes looked to Twinestar, but still paying attention to Leopardheart. She had yet to talk to Toubleseeker, her mentor, but...

Leopardheart flicked her tail. "You do know that a battle isn't just a walk through a tranquil forest, right?" Leopardheart warned the apprentice. She wanted to make sure that the apprentice knew all of the dangers. "I'm going to have to make you wait on this so far, until we can get Burningflame's word, that we have enough herbs to be able to make it." Leopardheart meowed, looking down at Lionesspaw. She was so little for an apprentice.. she was the daughter of Lionfur. Every cat I agree to send into battle.. I;m agreeing to send them into so many other things. Death, wounds, crippling injuries.. her eyes reflected that worry, but she quickly tried to cover it up and restore herself to being confident.
Leopardheart began padding forward. "Think about it for a little bit, Lionesspaw. If you still want to do it, even if it means dying for a Clan that isn't your home Clan, and if Burningflame says it's alright, you may go," she sighed, hoping that she was making the right decision. Ugh.. I can't imagine how being leader must feel.. but luckily I shouldn't need to worry about that, with 8 lives still to go on Twinestar.
