the Cat* Cloudrunner
the Noted* Just curious..
the Number* 403
Clouldrunner peered around. He wondered what herbs there might be around. "Owlpaw, come. We should go gather some herbs." he called to his apprentice, looking back at the herb stores. They were low on a few things. He waited for a moment, for the young cat to catch up, and left camp.
The wet ground wasn't too weird anymore, he had grown used to it. Well, it was no longer wet, just cold and hard. Still, eating fish was probably the hardest to adapt to. They were cold and slimy, something he had never been used to. It would probably be just as hard to go back to fresh kill, now. He glanced behind him to make sure Owlpaw was coming, and started to talk.
"So, Owlpaw... what made you want to be a Medicine Cat? You know, before the sign. I means, did you have some attraction to herbs, or helping others? I know thatI just hated fighting. I wouldn't have it any other way." he told the apprentice. He hadn't made much conversation, and he was really curious. And just a little bit lonely.
"Oh, and look for any herbs you see. We might find some Watermint, and some Horsetail. Just collect any you can find. We aren't that low in supply, but I wanted to get out of camp. Before we go back, we'll see if we can find some Catmint too. You know, with this sort of weather." he murmured, looking up at the grey sky.
He looked around, for anything. He walked to the stream, looking down at his reflection. Looking past it, he saw a fish. He dangled his paw over it, and lashed out to catch it. Once again, a failed catch. If he had tosurvive alone on Riverclan territory, he'd starve. At least if he were somewhere else, he could catch a mouse.
He wandered a bit, checking every once in a while to make sure that Owlpaw was behind him. It was peaceful, not having to worry about anything. Anything at all. And he was still able to help Riverclan. He was glad that he was outside of the warrrior code, that he could do this. It was kind of like a vacation that you don't want to go on, but end up having fun on anyways.
"So, uhm, Owlpaw... How are things, you know, for you?"
