Hello ThunderClan. [Shadestar and TC]

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=171717] the count;; 275 the cat;; Shadestar the involved;; Twinestar, and I'd like the first posts to just be Shadestar and Twinestar. the notes;; There was a rustle around the brambles surrounding ThunderClan camp, and the stench of ShadowClan filled the air. Most cats were tense straight away, as soon as that FireClan and ShadowClan mixture was all that could be smelled. Two cats emerged from the brambles, and looked down into the quarry. "Quite a nice camp..." a voice meowed, and in the western part of ThunderClan camp, a black tom with long fur came into sight, with a little she-cat about half his size, with the same jet black fur and blue eyes, but with short fur. They both looked like silhouttes under the crescent moon, and stars in the sky, looking down upon the camp. "Hello, ThunderClan! As you all know, I am Shadestar. I simply wish to talk with your Clan Leader." Shadestar meowed. As he walked past the cats, you could clearly smell the mixture of FireClan and ShadowClan on his pelt, which was such a terrible rank smell to the ThunderClan cats. "This cat is my daughter, Sablepaw. She's a young apprentice and is nearly deaf. She means no harm." Shadestar meowed, as many cats had eyed the little she-cat warily. The ShadowClan leader went up to Twinestar's den, and meowed wordlessly to him. The moon was at its peak, and the leader was likely asleep, along with likely most of ThunderClan. But Shadestar was surprised, as a number of them seemed to be wide awake, and guarding around the quarry. More than ShadowClan would ever have put up. Their eyes were narrowed at Shadestar. "Twinestar, I wish to talk to you. Wherever you wish, I'm not bothered."

Twinestar looked up. He woke up in time for Shadestar's black coat to come into the den. Immediatly his eyes narrowed, but he made no move. He had many thinkgs to discuss with Shadowclan's leader tonight, and he couldn't afford to have a fight. Not after the brown Fireclan cat. And, seeing that there was no squabbling, he accepted it.

"Shadestar, what a... pleasant suprise." Twinestar murmured. "And who is this?" he asked, flicking his tail torwards Sablepaw. He watched Shadestar.

"Never mind that now. We have... very important matters to discuss. Come, follow me. I do not wish for all the clan to hear this." He slunk out of his den, wincing slightly at the Fireclan stench. He padded up to the Highrock. "Thunderclan, obviously we have some visitors. You will not do anything to harm one fur on their pelts. Am I clear?" he asked. In response, he got a couple angry shakes of the head.

Silently, he jumped down. He walked out of camp, glancing behind his shoulder to make sure the two Shadowclan cats were following. Once he was out of earshot of anybody, he turned to face Shadestar. Very calmly, he asked Shadestar, "So, what is it you wish to discuss?"

[Shadewing]

"My Clan and I figured that it would be most civil to first ask if you need the territory. You remember when we first moved into the forest, right? And how ShadowClan wanted the river as the border? I believe that that is likely the better border. My cats are in bad shape. I know that you likely won't be willing to give up the land. But I figure that asking was at least worth a try." Shadestar meowed calmly to the leader. Most cats wouldn't take kindly to this. Oh no, not in leaf bare, where most cats were still hungry. "I tell you what.. you accept, and chances are our border disputes will lessen, good for both of us. I will still allow your medicine cat to go to the river and take herbs. At least consider it, hm?"

Shadestar flicked his tail, and Sablepaw purred as Shadestar gave his daughter a quick lick on the shoulder. She seemed to be rathe impatient, and excited, but Shadestar's swift lick seemed to calm her down a little.

Twinestar was nearly shocked by Shadestar's question. He wanted more land, so that he would be able to feed those mongrols? How sad it was. But, he had come to a realization: if they did not give up this land, there would likely be a fight, something his clan could not afford. Not with Fireclan.

"Shadestar, do you wish to have this territory because you are now hosting Fireclan in your camp? I understand. Because Thunderclan can not afford another fight with Fireclan. I can not afford another fight with Fireclan. Because one of those Fireclan cats took one of my lives." he murmured in a low tone. He wouldn't let his anger shine though - when it came down to it, if Shadestar was needing it that bad, he'd probably attack anyways.

He now considered his options. If he allowed them to take this land, then his cats would be angry, and the other clans would be angry. And what about Windclan? Would they ask for more territory too? Maybe. But, if he didn't let Shadestar take this... he could not suffer the losses and injuries, especially not in leaf-bare.

"Okay Shadestar. Answer my first question, and then we can talk."

[Shadewing]

"Yes, somewhat, they are a drain on the prey supplies. However, I have a feeling that even without them staying in our territory, we would still be going through hard times. However, yes, this is mostly to keep the FireClan and ShadowClan cats in a good state." Shadestar explained, curling his tails around his paws. Can ShadowClan maybe take the land without needing a fight? It seems like Twinestar is seriously thinking of giving up without a fight.. the icy blue parts of his eyes seemed to dance after thinking of winning the land so simply.

The leaf-bare breeze filled rustled the pelts of all of the cats. The ones who were guarding the borders, and the two leaders, whose eyes were both hard. shadestar was sizing the new leader up. Twinestar was thinking deeply. Both were concerned about the conditions of their Clan.

Twinestar looked modestly at Shadestar. He wondered if he was doing the right thing by thinking of giving up this territory. Would Starclan think it was right? He was so confused, and wasn't sure. He did not want to lose any cats. Especially since Redeyes snapped Silktail's neck, he was very hesitant. When it all came down to it, he would have to ask his clan.

"Shadestar, tell me honestly. I will see through your lies, so answer these questions. Do you really not care that one of those cats took my lives? Because, I will be honest. It greatly angered me that you would allow them to trespass, and then allow one of them to take a life. And, you did not think that something would not be done? You are lucky that I did not just run about starting riot. No one but me and you know about this." he mewled. No trace of anger showed on his face-because he was not angry. Not at Shadestar. At least, he had to make Shadestar think that.

"And Shadestar, take pity on me for asking - but I must know. If I do not agree to this, will you attack? Is there anything that I can do to make you change your mind? Well, I suppose not. But, please. If you are going to attack my clan, do not treat me like a fool. I will not fall for tricks, but I will not lanch an attack. I think you know that. I don't want to lose land, or lose cats. This is very tough to say, but I do not wish anything bad on Shadowclan. Please take no offense, but Fireclan is different. However, if you are going to attack... there may be some hope for you." he told him. It was a very tough thing to do.

"Shadestar, please. I will try to be reasonable, for your clan's sake. But do not lie."

[Shadewing]

"If you do refuse to give me the land, I will fight for it, Twinestar. My warriors need the land for ShadowClan to make it through the leaf-bare without losing many lives to the elements." Shadestar meowed. "I have not lied to you at all. If anybody was watching me, my truths wouldn't hurt them. So there's no reason for me to lie now. I only recently learned that a cat in ThunderClan was killed by one of the FireClan cats. That cat was a trouble maker. He's outside of the warrior code, so I'm going to execute him if he does something else."

Shadestar paused, and his eyes flicked about a little, a little embarrassed from the last comment. It may look like he could not handle his cats. "I did not know the cat he had killed was you. He only said that it was a brown tabby ThunderClan cat. I suppose it's good it was you, since you still have eight lives to go, unless you've been losing them quicker than I." Shadestar grinned. He had slipped in a little hint of why you don't bother ShadowClan: He still had all nine of his lives, and a troop of cats surrounding him. "I do not allow my cats to trespass. The FireClan cats choose to ignore me and do so. I am not their leader: I am merely their deputy, who has little say compared to the deputies of our Clans. I am glad that you're at least hearing me out no matter what I have to say. If I went onto RiverClan territory, Milkystar would have us in a fully fledged battle as soon as I walked in." Shadestar bit down hard with the last comment, but he hoped that he'd make the leader remain clueless.

Twinestar looked down at the n. There was no way his clan would approve of this. Well, maybe not right away. He had to talk to Burningflame and Leopardheart. By himself, he considered what he wanted. And what he wanted was no fighting.

"Shadestar, I truly do not know what my can would think of this. I must talk to them first, in private if you will. But, if I were to hand over this land, I would like to make a few things clear. One, you will not tell any other clans about this. I do not want to appear weak - this is for the safety of all the clans. They will not know. Second, I wish for you to keep a very close eye on even the Fireclan cats. I do not want to end up having to kill one that strays onto territory. And third, you must grant us allowence to the river, for herbs. If a cat is found there, do not attack. Bring them back, and I will do what is necesary. Well, do not attack unless they attack first. This is all that I wish for." the brown tabby whispered. He hoped he could get his clan to agree.

"Now please, follow me back to camp and please wait as I discuss this." he told the black cat. He moved forward to camp, going in followed by the two Shadowclan cats. Hewas unsure of himself, and needed to conference. He cleared his thoat, and then yowled. "Leopardheart, Burningflame, please meet me in my den."

Then he crept into his den, getting ready to tell the two of them what was happening. He poked his head out, looking at Shadestar. He looked at him as if to warn him about the rest of his clan. "Once again, nobody touch them."

[Silky]

Burningflame pricked her ears as Twinestar said her name. She was reluctant to allow ShadowClan their territory; Redeyes, the 'deputy' had nearly killed Silktail, and that had been a blow to Twinestar. She had heard Shadestar say something about nine lives. Only she and Twinestar knew that he had not received nine lives, but only seven. She trotted past Shadestar, watching him with wary golden eyes, and into Twinestar's den.

"You can't be serious!" she said in a hissed whisper. "I mean, FireClan killed some of our own, and they nearly killed Silktail! This is StarClan punishing Shadestar for taking in those rogues. I don't trust FireClan; if they found me alone by the river they wouldn't hesitate to mate with me, and you know I cannot afford to be a mother, and you would have to exile me, as it is against the sacred code of Medicine cats." She sighed, flicked her golden orbs towards Shadestar. "I don't trust him.."
