[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=171717] the count;; 616 the cat;; Shadestar the involved;; Talks to Claws the notes;; fiiight... btw TC, you guys don't know anything of this. it's a complete surprise attack.
Shadestar got up onto his branch. It was the dead of winter, and it refused it give out. Many of his cats were starving now. "Cats of ShadowClan! Gather 'round for a Clan meeting! FireClan, too!"
Many thin cats gathered around him, and Shadestar watched his cats gather around with pitiful eyes. They all looked so hungry and beaten down, old, and not warriors. "Leaf-bare is usually a time of hunger. However, never has ShadowClan been this starving and weak. Since we've added FireClan, all of us have slowly been dying away. The fresh-kill pile is bare. I have come up with a solution,"
Shadestar jumped down from his branch, and paced around. It was morning, and dawn patrol had just come back. "Today, I want every cat in the Clan hunting. Tonight we will have a huge feast together. Every cat will attend this feast, and eat until he is full, or eat until h there is no more prey." Shadestar rounded the entire group, and looked at they're greedy eyes. Even the kindest of cats seemed to be starving for food. "The reason why I want this is because of we are going to fight. We are going to stretch the border of ShadowClan all the way to ThunderClan's river. They will likely not be willing to give that up. But that is the territory ShadowClan wished for, at the start. And Patchstar turned us down. We need the land, so that we do not go hungry. It is in the best interest of us all. For the new kits. For the queens. For the hard working warriors. For all of our allied Clan!"
Several cats cheered at the thought of having more food before them; and not starving. "After we have taken ThunderClan territory, I will allow hunting just past the RiverClan border. They only catch fish anyway, they shouldn't have too much of a quarrel with this." Shadestar looked at all of the cats before him. The cold winter breeze blew powder snow across the inches of snow. "Not all cats will attend the fight. Ravenfeather and Flameshade, of course, will stay behind. Crowstorm, for the first part of the fight, you will also stay behind. I will send a warrior to run you to the battlefield if there are too many injuries. As well, cats will come to you during the fight."
Shadestar looked around the camp. "Animal will stay behind. Solartail will stay behind. And Spottedtail will stay behind. You three are to guard strictly the nursery. Sablepaw will stay behind and watch the kits inside of the nursery. Animal. I trust you, but if one of my females reports that you have raped them, or if one of Ravenfeather's kits dies, I will slit your throat." Shadestar poofed his fur up in front of the little tom, who cowered a little. Claws slashed him across the face, and hissed in the little golden tom's face. Animal hissed, and unsheathed his claws. "Civil, my warriors. Do not inflict wounds before the battle has started, especially not upon your allies."
An apprentice with short jet black fur and blue eyes trotted beside Shadestar. Shadestar looked down at his daughter.
"Dad, can I please fight? You taught me all about fighting, and I'm really good!" Sablepaw mewed, looking up at her father.
"Well, guarding the kits is a very important job," Shadestar said loudly, but calmly.
"Cherishpaw's going!" she complained.
"I suppose you can go. Only fight apprentices, okay?" Shadestar told her, and she nodded, and went back into the crowd.
"Moonhigh, we feast! Next moonhigh, we fight! And we will win!"

Cat: Crowstorm Words: 192
Crowstorm hung his head, screwing his eyes tight shut. "We don't stand a chance..." He muttered under his breath. He looked up, and was listed as one of the cats to remain. He sighed, and then, his eyes lit up. Now, he was a medicine cat. He had to warn ThunderClan! Crowstorm had to remain neutral among the quarrels of the clans... But this... Shadestar was taking it too far. He flexed his claws, and listened.
"Shadestar, I wish to travel to the river to collect any remaining herbs. My stock is dwindling due to the many... Squabbles the toms have been having." 'This is my chance to warn Burningflame!' He thought. "I wish to go alone, too." said Crowstorm. He couldn't risk having a cat with him, no, they'd tell Shadestar and then he'd get himself exiled as Ashenanarchy had done. Crowstorm wondered where he and Morningcloud and Dusky, the fiesty harlot, had gone. He looked at Sablepaw; it would be stupid to let her go. She wouldn't hear anyone leap for her; she'd be done for.

Shadestar looked at Crowstorm, and flicked his tail. "You may collect herbs from the river after the fight is over. I don't want any cats nearing ThunderClan territory, lest they become suspicious. Even a peaceful medicine cat may make them wary. You are free to collect herbs elsewhere, however, Crowstorm. I simply do not want you attacked right now, or other cats attacked later. Permission not granted." Shadestar meowed, looking at the cats around him. "All of you! Get out and hunt! Crowstorm, you may depart for herbs also. Remember, do not go near the ThunderClan and ShadowClan border. If I smell a stray scent there, I will be greatly disappointed.. even a pawstep over the border could spoil the entire surprise attack. A few mice can be missed; the lives that will be lost if ThunderClan cats become wary will be far worse."
Shadestar flicked his tail, and dismissed his cats, who began to disperse amongst the territory. Shadestar stayed in camp. He would keep guard in case a fox or another hungry predator came into camp and headed for the nursery. "Bring back a worthwhile catch!"
