Nightkit had been getting sicker and sicker, and Shadestar had decided to make Cherishkit an apprentice. Shadestar flicked his ears, and then saw that there were no new scents around since the last gathering. The grass had grown back, after being ripped out by angry claws, and it would likely get trampled again. Maybe the leaders will cut the grass a break,
Shadestar looked down at the ground. Nightkit, Ashenanarchy better be taking good care fo you, Shadestar had decided not to bring Ashenanarchy. His excuse was that Nightkit was too sick. He was, anyways. But the other side of the coin was he caught him and Morningcloud out. Shadestar wasn't letting them near eachother, not unless she was sick.
Shadestar walked across the bridge. Cherishpaw had stayed at home. He didn't want him being exposed to the gathering just yet. He was seven moons, but nowhere near old enough to even comprehend the disputes of the clans.
There was no scent of the clans just yet. Shadestar decided to stay down on the branch and socialize with ShadowClan until the rest of the Clans arrived. Shadestar would keep his rudeness inside unless someone provoked him. He took a deep breath, and calmed down.

Nightstar stepped onto the brim if the log, and raced across, her clan behind her. Orangesky wasn't coming. He was on a special mission. She could scent ShadowClan, but no one else. Her black pelt blended in with the shadows as she stepped into the clearing and jumped on the tree, watching her clan below. She looked around, waiting for the other clans.
((AH!!! Sorry for the short, crappy, post...))

Milkystar had anger venting off him in waves. How DARE Shadestar let those inbreds of Fireclan stay in his territory!? Not only THAT, he was letting those filthy creatures go on other cat's territory. Milkystar would have none of that, he had decided. No, none at all. Shadestar would pay in one way or another.
He waited for his clan to cross the log, and made his way onto the island. "You better have a good excuse for letting those filthy inbreds stay on your territory Shadestar." Milkystar hissed. He'd lost a few good warriors in that battle. "You let that danmed Seamist into your clan, didn't you?! She gathered up those inbreds and led them onto Riverclan territory. You better think of an excuse fast, or I swear, I will declare war on you if I scent another filthy pile of dirt from them, or if I find even ONE measly bit of fur on my territory, Shadowclan will fall." He said, his voice low. Riverclan stood at one part of the island, watching their leader. Milkystar flicked his tail, and walked over to his clan.

Shadestar hissed back. "ShadowClan is to be hospitable to rogues, so we can gain more members. Seamist happened to come along, and she had never done anything. I have repromanded her properly, but not with a death sentence. I swear, that's next, if she ever comes back with blood all over a bunch of pelts!" Shadestar hissed. The moon was already starting to get hidden by the clouds, and Shadestar prayed StarClan was more angry at Milkystar's last comment than at his last comment.
"And their called markers. You don't cross the stinking piles of dung. If some of my cats to not awknowlegde the borders, tell me at a gathering, and I'll punish all of them." Shadestar sheathed and unsheathed his claws. It wasn't right, but he now enjoyed inflicting damage on other cats, and manipulating others so easily. He never imagined this power coming with leader. Shadestar was actually rather happy with all of this power, mainly because he didn't know what to do next. He could stick to the original plan, and exile all of the cats of FireClan who weren't loyal to him.. but now it just seemed so much easier to exile all of the cats of ShadowClan who weren't loyal to him. However, that would be a step too far. It was just a matter of adaptation. When the cats first moved to the lake territory, they weren't to happy with it. This would just be something different.
The moon was already somewhat covered, but not completely. StarClan would allow strictly non-hostile conversation. Shadestar, with half of himself, wanted to visit StarClan. The other half barely believed in them. They barely sent signs, or Ashenanarchy and Crowpaw never paid any attention to them.

[[lesse... TC cats; Sunpaw, Emberpaw, Raccoontail, Lionfur, Burningflame, Fogpaw, Darkcry, Troubleseeker, Ruffledpelt, Polarpelt, Stormeyes, and Patchface (=]] the Cat* Twinestar the Noted* dadadadadaaaadadadadadadaaa BATMAN! the Number* 212 Twinestar padded out of the shadows, already sure he was the last to be there. He didn't really care, and shrugged it off. He had pretty much lost any sense of optimism when he came to the gatherings, the leaders seemed so... unable to get along. It wan almost impossible to live with, never knowing whether you were charging into a new battle or not. And that was exactly what was really bugging him
He gripped the log, looking behind him to make sure no cats fell. He heard and angry cat, and he could tell it was Shadestar. His fur rose, and he wondered how everyone could already be fighting. Thunderclan hadn't even arrived yet. He growled, but tried to calm down. It was annoying, he didn't know why everything was so crazy. It shouldn't have to be this hard.
He shook his head, and made his fur lie flat; he didn't want the others to get the wrong impression, even if he was angry on the inside. Whatever. He just wanted to get it over with, to give his news and leave. Fighting wasn't what he wanted, and if that was all that was on the menu, he wouldn't put up with it.

Cats: Troubleseeker, Burningflame, Ruffledpelt, Stormeyes, Raccoontail, Milkystar
"Stick close Fogpaw." Troubleseeker mewled to her son. She was close by Patchface's side, her tail twined with his. She still loved him, and her two sons. Fogpaw was close next to her, looking eager to make new friends. She sighed, hearing the commotion on the island. Milkystar and Shadestar, shouting and hissing. She hazarded a lookat the sky; the moon was clouding over. "Please, this a gathering, we must remain civil. Take your arguments away from the island." she called out from the Thunderclan crowd. A few other voices mewled in agreement.
Milkystar looked over at the silver she-cat and huffed. "Well then Shadestar, seeing as you got here first, would you mind starting the Gathering so we may all return home?" He mewoed, a hint of anger still present in his voice.

Nightstar padded over to Twinestar. Her words were simple, but they left an impression. "I know the look on your face. You don't want fighting. But, I've seen what FireClan can do, and so has Milkystar. I'm sure you have to, because I know you arrived at that battle. FireClan is a threat we can just leave alone like most of the twolegs who enter our territory. We must band together and fight. Shadestar's huaghty head will likely make him unable to join in our battle, but eventually he will see sense." She broke of from the ThunderClan leader and jumped up to her spot on the oak, strething.

"Thank-you Milkystar, for telling me what to do. It's okay when you do it, but when I do--" The clouds were starting to cover the moon. Shadestar grumbled to himself, and decided to keep it simple.
"The prey in ShadowClan has been shortening because of all of our warriors, and because of the coming leaf-bare. However, everyone has enough food to keep them healthy." Shadestar stood up on his branch. "Some other ShadowClan news.. Crowstar's children are on their ways to becoming warriors. Cherishpaw, my son, is now an apprentice. And, I apologize to RiverClan for the attack. If ShadowClan was having any kind of overabundance, I'd help. Unfortunately I know not the names of the attackers, besides Seamist, who's been dealt with, so I cannot punish them accordingly."
"All right, RiverClan. How about you speak?" he growled, narrowing his eyes at one of his most-hated cats. Another one being annoying little Nightstar and goodie little Ashenanarchy. The night breeze ruffled all of the cat's pelts. There was a stillness in the air, and the environment seemed stale. Dead leaves rattled against the ground. StarClan demanded peace for the rest of the gathering. And peace, many cats silently prayed, they'd hopefully get.
