Providing For The Clan [Tigerfrost]

[Dewdrop]

Dewdrop padded through the forest, her tail held high. She was out on a hunting mission with Tigerfrost, who was behind her. Dewdrop didn't normally like many cats but Tigerfrost just seemed different. He was handsome and seemed like he was charming. She didn't think he would like her though, so she pushed her thoughts to the back of her mind. She took a deep breath and started to head in the general direction of the river.

Dewdrop couldn't smell any voles or anything, so they would have to hunt fish in the river. It was cold and Dewdrop shivered. She was pretty sure the river wouldn't be frozen but she couldn't help worrying about it a bit. It would be pretty cold, especially when their paws got wet. Great. Dewdrop turned around to check Tigerfrost was still behind her and was keeping up. When she saw he was, she turned around quickly and set off at a fast pace straight towards the river.

[Twilight]

His white and grey striped pelt was hard to distinguish from the snow on the ground, and his grey eyes looked like rocks against the snow. He was following Dewdrop on a hunting patrol. He wasn't entirely sure what to think of the she-cat, but he knew she was quite pretty, beautiful even, if the season was right. That season was usually Newleaf and Leaffall, in his mind, but many cats may have thought different. He began to thinkon the matter. She didn't have a mate, nor any kits... She wasn't making a bid for deputy, Tigerfrost's siter Blacksnow having just been named deputy after her kits were made apprentices. Mothkit, however, was still recovering from some of the wounds he had received, and Tigerfrost was hoping to mentor the little fluffball. Dewdrop didn't have an apprentice, which would be good if he mated with her, if she let him mate with her. He was thinking that the kits would be quite cute, as most kits were, but the more he thought about the possible children between himself and Dewdrop, the more beautiful the kits became in his eyes.

He shuddred at the thought that his vengeance for the death of his brother, Snowpaw, might drive him to be to overprotective of a father, or even to little of a father. It wasn't something he wanted to think about, but as he continued to stare at the back side of Dewdrop, he could tell even just her scent was slightly erotic and arousing to him. He sighed lightly, and padded up besides her, keeping his tail down. He looked at her from the side of his vision, and meowed, "Hey Dewdrop, have you ever thought much about having a family, such as a mate and kits?"

[Dewdrop]

Dewdrop watched as Tigerfrost came up beside her. She looked at him and listened to his question. She turned to Tigerfrost and said,"Well, I haven't really - but I do love kits. I don't know if there is anyone who would want to have my kits but I really would like a litter. What about you?" She looked at Tigerfrost and began to wonder what their kits would look like if they had them. She wasn't sure, but she knew they would be lovely.

She thought she would be a good mother; well at least she hoped. Tigerfrost seemed like he would be a good father too. Dewdrop tried to scent some prey, but the only thing she could smell was the distant scent of the river and the gorgeous scent of Tigerfrost. She took another deep breath and sighed. She lifted up her tail and shook herself to keep out the cold.

[Twilight]

He padded besides he for a bit before he decided to answer. He had to concentrate to keep his mind off of Dewdrop's raised tail. "Well, " he began, looking to the distant river, "I know that there will be a cat out there for you that would want kits with you." He had to hide his view to keep her from knowing it was him. He wanted to play hard to get. He then continued on. "Though, ever since I've been watching over my little nieces and nephws when I was a new apprentice, I knew that some day I want to father kits of my own, to a she-cat who loved me as I loved her, and also one that loved kits as much as I do. she doesn't have to have looks or even the best atributes and skills. we just need to love each other. I don't put a whole lot of value on how a cat looks. To me it's more of what they think and how they handle out their actions, and also their personality really." He continued to star at the river as he contemplated the thought.

[Dewdrop]

Dewdrop listened to Tigerfrost. She was glad that he wanted kits as well; she could never have loved anyone who hated kits. She was also pretty happy that he'd said that someone would want her kits. She hoped a bit that he was talking about himself but she thought it was pretty unlikely.

"It's the same for me. I've always loved kits; when I was an apprentice I used to play with the kits in the nursery. I don't really care much about looks, but I always assumed that if I loved the cat enough they'd seem handsome to me."

Dewdrop padded over to the river. She tried to concentrate on finding fish; it was a hunting mission after all. She saw a fish, shot her paw out and caught it. She killed it with a blow to the head and smelled the gorgeous fish scent. Her stomach rumbled; but the Clan had to be fed first.

"C'mon Tigerfrost, we'd better catch something."

[Twilight]

He was glad she felt the same. Tigerfrost stepped forward, and fished out two small silver fish, and quickly killed them with a fang to the base of the spine right behind their head. He purred in satisfaction that he had managed to get two fish that quickly. With a suddne desire, he leaned over to Dewdrop and whispered in her ear. "We may be fishing for the clan, but I'd much rather fish you." Pretending he never eve said it, he turned his attention back to the river, as if the words had never left his lips.

[Dewdrop]

Dewdrop felt a bit warmer when he said that. She turned and looked at him. She stared at him for a few seconds, then ducked her head and began to fish again. She caught a fish, killed it, and put it on top of the other fish she'd caught. She glanced over at Tigerfrost and said,"Tigerfrost...I think I agree - that would be a lot better than this boring fishing." Dewdrop did the same thing he had done - she went straight back to fishing and seemed to forget she'd ever said anything.

[Twilight]

Tigerfrost's white paw shot out and caught a green colore d fish,and he wuickly dispatched it like he had the others. His grey eyes trained on her for a few seconds before he said anything. "Are you sure you're ready, Dewdrop? I mean, I won't force it on you. Besides, we;ve already got enough to feed the elders and a few warriors, and that was our goal. If you're ready, I'm willing to oblige." He turned his attention back to the river, pretending he never had said it. His paw shot out again and retrieved a gray fish, and he killed it quickly before adding it to his other three fish, bringing hs total to four. He flicked his tail and stealthily laid it over Dewdrop's tail.

[Dewdrop]

Dewdrop was very aware of Tigerfrost being near her and she felt a strange warmth under her fur, despite the coldness. She caught another fish and swiftly killed it. In silence, she added it to her pile and began to look for another fish. She dipped her paw in, but missed it. She tried again; this time she caught one. It, too, was killed quickly and added to her pile. Then she got up and turned to Tigerfrost.

"I think we've caught enough as well. We caught it so quickly as well - they won't be expecting us back at camp for a while," Dewdrop said. "I don't think we should go back yet. Oh, and by the way, I'm ready if you are." Dewdrop twitched her whiskers at him and smiled, holding her tail high.

[Twilight]

He watched her succesful hunting, and shivered as she raised her tail and said she was ready. He nodded and stood. He shook the collecting snow from his pelt and sneezed once to get the scent of snow and fish out of it. He twiched his whiskers, and rounded behind her. He walked over her, and lowered himself down to her, in the mating position. He grabbed her scruff with his teeth, careful not to break her skin, and started mating.

When he was done, he pulled out of her and jumped back because she looked like she might hurt him. He had been told from a few toms that it hurt the she-cat when you pulled out after mating, so he was being careful.

[Dewdrop]

Dewdrop twitched her whiskers happily and smiled to herself. She felt so happy, happy, happy. It was as if her brain couldn't process anything but her happiness. She turned around to look at Tigerfrost and padded over to him. She cuddled up beside him and looked up at him with big eyes. "So...,"she said,"does that makes us...I mean, are we...Well, does this make us mates now then or what?" She hoped it did; she'd not been in this sort of situation before and desperately hoped that Tigerfrost said they were. She wasn't sure she loved him yet, but she really really liked him and hoped he felt the same. She opened her mouth and breathed in his scent then she looked up at him, waiting for an answer.

[Twilight]

He closed his eyes and pressed his face against hers while purring. "Last I knew we were before we mated, but that was just me." He licked her face softly, his mind at peace. He breathed in her scent as she did to him, and he twined his white and grey striped tail with hers. He opened his grey eyes and looked into her eyes. "do you want to mate again, just in case, you know, you didn't get pregnant?"

[Dewdrop]

Dewdrop looked at Tigerfrost, enjoying just sitting beside him for a moment, with their tails entwined. She was so glad they were mates now. She looked into his eyes and sat there imagining their kits before she replied. "Well, we might as well. If I haven't got pregnant, I will, and it won't hurt anyone if I've already gotten pregnant, so I think we should. It's not as if it's not fun," she said, a twinkle in her eye. She bounced away, crouching playfully and holding her tail up high. "C'mon on then," she meowed, signalling for him to come over.

[Twilight]

He gave a gruff laugh, enjoying her happy mood. She was so much livlier now. He was glad to see her that way. He got up and happily chased behind her. He circled her a few times, laughing as the snow he kicked up landed on his white and grey striped pelt. Finally, he stopped behind her and got over her in much the same fashion. He grabbed her scruff between his teeth, and crouched down, positioning himself so he would enter on the first try. With his position perfect, he started to mate.

After about half an hour, he finally jumped off of her as he pulled out, panting slightly. That had been a long session, but he thought now she would definately be pregnant. If she wanted to go another round he would happily oblige. He went up to her and rubbed his face against hers as he purred.

Dewdrop purred back at him. She felt happy and now she had something to look forward to; kits! She'd wanted them her whole life and she was (hopefully, anyway) going to get them. She was going to have kits! Dewdrop yawned. She would have loved to have mated with Tigerfrost again, but she was awfully tired and it was very cold. She nuzzled into his fur, then stood up and shook herself. "I think we need to get back now, Tigerfrost,"she said, a tad regretfully. She picked up her fish and smiled at him. She nuzzled him one more time, then sighed. "C'mon," she meowed. "Let's go."
