notes;; i killed muffy soz
Orangesky's shape appeared on a rolling moor. He spotted a brown rabbit dashing, and he needed to resist the urge to sprint after it. Everything felt light and airy, and he was so relaxed..
Leadership. That's what he was here for. He turned his head, and looked for the cats of StarClan. "Orangesky," a little voice whispered. He sounded like a young tom. When Orangesky turned around, there was a little white tom with black socks on his paws, and light blue eyes.
"I'm Silentpaw, the old medicine cat apprentice. Orangesky, with this life, I give you the gift of caring, but don't let it get to your head," he said. His starry white pelt brushed against Orangesky's, and Orangesky felt a tingle in his paws. It was an annoying little feeling, but then it quickly felt like the flesh was rotting off of his paws. His vision then blacked out. He jumped, and looked down to see if he could see anything. Nothing. Did something happen?
Finally the feeling of Silentpaw's fur stopped, and everything felt alright again. "I have given you your first life, Orangesky. Use it well."
The next cat appeared in front of him when Orangesky got his sight back. He recognized him as Pantherclaw, who had been kicked out of WindClan. Orangesky's fur prickled a little, wondering what he was doing.
"Calm down. I may have been an angry cat, but my life was still good enough to go to StarClan." He flicked his tail with annoyance at the cat who seemed wary of him. "I will give you the power to think through your actions before you do them. So that you don't end up truly screwed up."
Orangesky felt himself unable to breathe, and was choking for air. Was this how Pantherclaw died? His vision blurred, as he felt himself slipping away. Eventually, he was able to breath again. Pantherclaw was gone, and in front of him was a third cat.
"Hi, I'm Butterflypaw!" an excited voice meowed, and in front of Orangesky was a little white black dappled apprentice. She seemed vaguely familiar.. "Oh, you don't recognize me! You were just a little kit and I used to play with you occasionally when I was bored. Anyways, I give you the life of power! Use your claws, and, and your legs.. and anything else to help WindClan!" Butterflypaw touched noses with Orangesky, and he thought he felt a little sting of static from the apprentice, and he winced. He heard her giggling, but when he opened his eyes, she was gone.
A gold dappled she-cat sat in front of Orangesky now. "I am Whisperingwinds. In this life, I will give you the power of listening. To everything StarClan has to offer, and to your Clan." There was a touch of her nose, and all of Orangesky's senses tuned out. When he came back, she, too was gone.
Great StarClan this is annoying, Orangesky thought to himself, as the cat who would give him his fifth life appeared.
The next cat was dark gray with a long pelt, and was on his left side, closer to him than most cats. "Silverclaw. Let's get this over with. I give you the life to accept all types of cats. Use it wisely." she said it all in seconds, and Orangesky felt as if he was electricuted by the lightning that burned the trees.
The next cat ran up the moors, and skidded to a stop before Orangesky. "I'm Skyblaze. I give you this life to be a good fatherly figure to you Clan." He then nuzzled his head, and Orangesky noticed that this life didn't hurt. It gave him an overpoweringly good feeling within him.
The next cat was Twilightstar. Orangesky looked at the old leader with the scars riddled about her fur, and her calm blue eyes. "Orangesky, with this life, I grant you wisdom. Everything in this world is valueable," Nightstar said, rubbing pelts with Orangesky. He felt the pain of flames running up through his fur, signing himself. His nose was overrun with the metallic scent of cat's blood. Twilightstar was gone.
The next cat was a brown tabby. "I'm Finchflight. With this life, I give to you the power of speech. Convince all cats with your powerful words." When Finchflight went my him, Orangesky felt small and powerless, but afterwards, he felt like he had grown ten sizes too big. Finchflight was no longer in sight.
Orangesky felt confused and out of place. Eight lives he had recieved, and he felt sickly and pained. He shivered his pelt, and his gray eyes looked up, as he thought he saw a black figure. Nightstar. He should have been so much happier to see her, but all he could do was lift his head and look her in the eye.

Nightstar's black pelt was not very stark against the horizon of the ceremony, until it was her turn. When her turn came, her blazing eyes locked on her deputy, and her pelt burst full of stars. She leaped off the rock she was standing upon and slowly raced towards him. She had decided to let him move on in the world of the living, but he would always own that place in her heart. She knew now that she was harboring that love within her. Though she was a StarClan cat, and everything within her should have died when she did, somehow the kits were growing inside of her. According to old legend, before they could be born in the real world of the living, the kits' spirits would need a body to manifest. She was waiting patiently for that day. She was a StarClan cat, and she had all the time in the universe, and all the time that infinity had to offer her. She stopped about five tail lengths from Orangesky, and just looked at him. She was overjoyed to see him, but with her mother Twilightstar there she dare not show it. Her orange eyes locked onto his grey ones, and she stepped forward. Before she gave her life she spoke to him as if he were her mate.
"Know this Orangesky. I do love you as if you were my mate, and I would hope you did the same for me. One of these days you will know the fruits of our love, but not yet. Whatever choice you make of whatever she-cat who choose to take, if any at all, know that I approve of that choice. And better as well, since your mating with Ravensong allowed me into the ShadowClan camp. Keep a close eye on those children, Orangesky, and also the ones to come." She stepped forward, and touched her nose to his forehead. "Orangesky, with this life, I give you the power of love and it's protection, of it's pleasures and despairs, and to know that everyday should come with it's own special love. Use it well in whatever choice you make in mate or in Clan affairs." A feeling like the warming rays of the sun intensified, until it became to hot to bear. Then, it coolded, until it felt as if Orangesky was going to choke. This was what she had felt when she died. When finally she had been at complete peace at a choice, and then choked on her own lifeblood as it bled from her throat.
Before she finished the ceremony, th wounds on her throat from Jade seemed to reopen, and blood spilled. It was only her and Orangesky here now, and she was about to complete the ceremony. "By using the power from spilled blood, the fire must and will be extinguished. Fear not. The fire shall not ravage your terrtiory much longer, dear heart." Then, the blood disappeared. "Now Orangesky, I grant you guardianship of your clan, WindClan, and the name Orangestar. Forget that with what you once knew yourself to be. You are no longer a deputy with one life and a warrior's name. You are a leader with the nine lives and name of 'star. Please, do not let StarClan's hopes for you dwindle as a star dwindles from midnight to dawn."
With that, she licked his cheek, and the StarClan disappeared. Orangesky was awakening.
