Birth in a nutshell: Congratulations! blahblahblah who really cares.

The kits cannot hear, and cannot see at birth. They may be about to slowly inch towards mother, but the mother should move them to her belly so they can suckle. Weeks later, their senses are developing, and they have shiny blue eyes. Do not take them outside until they are five weeks, or else they well have bad eye damage. This is when they're starting to get peppy and energetic, but they'll still stumble and fall occasionally. At about 2 moons, they can walk and play with firm legs, teeth, and good senses. At 2 moons to 9 weeks, the mother won't suckle her kits anymore. At this same time, kit personalities are starting to show up. At five months, the baby teeth may be starting to fall out, but it will take a moon or two for the whole adult set to grow in. The fluffy kitten coat turns into an adult cat's coat.

At about 8 moons a female is done growing, and everything has developed. This takes the male 12 moons.
