Kit: Destinycall

The sun's rays struck the grass in front of violet eyes. All the things she saw that would normally make her happy, were making this blue she-cat depressed. On the journey to the lake territories, all the clans were together, and she was with her RiverClan mate, Milkydew, almost the entire time without raising suspicion. Her kits, and Milkydew's, had learned of their heritage, and it changed them all in a way. Currentpaw the most, though. Her black and white RiverClan daughter was doing well. She was a very good RiverClan apprentice. But now, being in the new lake territories, ShadowClan was on their border instead of RiverClan. The she-cat let out a sigh, her violet eyes, which used to be so full of life and vigor, now were dull, with hardly any life. Burningflame had to be worried about her. But... I know she's a medicine cat and all, and she's supposed to stay away from actual clan business, except for giving ideas and opinions and carrying out what StarCln wants. She could help me, couldn't she? Oh, I don't know what yo do...

The she-cat, known as Destinycall, warrior of ThunderClan, dragged her body off of the ground and started the trek back to camp. But, the she caught Burningflame's scent.

The sun was out, the birds were singing, and love was in the air. Well, not for Burningflame, at least. She scretched out her claws gently, letting out a big, long yawn. Burningflame had yet to discover what this forest held for her; everything was so new and amazed the she-cat medicine cat. She took in a deep breath of crisp morning air, and sighed heavily. She had noticed Destinycall had been a little more, um, down now they were in the new territories. Of course, it was none of her business, but Destinycall was one of her friends, she had to help, didn't she? "Destinycall?" Burningflame called out. "You there?" Burningflame trotted forward, seeing the grey tabby with the violet eyes. Burningflame sighed under her breath, and walked towards her, tail swishing on the floor gently.

[Twilight]

The blue tabby's eyes lit a little at Burningflame's presence. "Burningflame!" she meowed happily, but still in her little rainy cloud mood. The medicine cat always had an ear to listen, no matter how busy the medicine cat was. "Yes, I am. Is there something you need?" Destinycall swished her tail across the ground. She had gotten up before Burningflame had found her, and now she didn't have to go all the way back to camp.

I'm sure she can help me! I know she can! Destinycall stretched herself, showing her somewhta stocky body. Before they had come to the new territories, she had still had some fat ion her from her pregnancy, but the trek through the mountains, she had worked it off, and she had become her lean and somewhat stocky self again.

She took a deep breath, and sighed. "Ever since we came to the new territory, you've been less, um, perky and happy." Burningflame said. "Blossomingpaw came to me this morning asking my help. She doesn't know why you're like this, and is worried for you." Burningflame sighed. "This is because of your mate, isn't it Destinycall?" Burningflame said, looking at the she-cat sadly.

...Destinycall waited for a moment before answering. And in those few moments, she was looking across the lake, a pained look on her face. Then, she answered Burningflame as best she could. "When I first became mates with Milkydew, I knew a great deal about what I was getting myself into. Trust me, I did not take the decision to have kits with him lightly. I layed awake for a long time at nights in the warriors den, thinking about what I was going to do, the pros and the cons. We were able to make our relationship work out because of the river, and our stoeln secret moments together. But, when we left for the new territories, I spent so much time with him. I saw my daughter, Surrentpaw, for the first time since I saw her being dropped into the river's current the day she was born. And, honestly, I loved every moment I was able to have. But, now, with RiverClan all the way across the lake, I'm afraid I've gotten myself in too deeply. I know'll be able to see my mate and my daughter at gatherings, but even then, we have tio act as though were just friends, and I can't let my daughter know how much she means to me, and how much I sill love her father." She loked down, her eyes closed, and she let out a little laugh. "I'm sorry burningflame. This must be so weirsd to you, neing a medicine cat and all..."

(That's it! I'm making Destiny a new table!)

"No, it doesn't sound weird. In almost every gathering whislt I was an apprentice, I had toms approach me from all the other clans, asking to meet me again. Of course, I couldn't, Starclan forbid me too, but I nearly ended up meeting a tom... It nearly cost me my life." Burningflame sighed. "I will try to help you. Next medicine cat gathering, I will talk to Deadfoot to arrange a meeting with Milkydew on private matters. Deadfoot may even know too." Burningflame let out a long deep sigh. "Or next gathering, I'll tell the clan you smelled something, and you and Milkydew can go somewhere private and do whatever mates do." Burningflame managed a smile, tilting her head at Destinycall.

Voila!

Thank you so much." She drew back, tears welling up in her eyes and her eyesight getting blurry. With that she asked, "Want to go back to camp?" and waited for her friend's answer. If she said yes, they'd go immediatly, but if not, Destinyall would go with her and help her. (Sorry, not enough muse for this post. XD)
