Ugh, I getting sick of being indoors all day. I could
only sleep, eat, and get the odd bit of attention from
my busy two-legs who were always watching pictures on
this odd piece of rock. Actually, it wasn't rock. I'd never
been sure what it was since I was a kit, my whiskers
twitched and I looked bored, not really interested. Most
cats found this thing fascinating. I flexed my claws into
the sofa and purred lightly at the young two-leg who ran
his hand down my spine. "Wanna go outside,
Diamond?" he cooed to me in that odd stream of
words I didn't understand. I'd grown used to answering him
when he talked to me. I parted my jaws and let out
a short keen, hoping it would get me a treat or something
else that I would enjoy. Nope. He wrapped his hands
around my lower abdomen and picked me up, pressing me
against his chest. I flailed my back legs out and tried to
twist around in his grip. "Let..Me..Go.." I hissed, but
his grip only tightened as he carried me towards the door,
opened it and through me out onto the soft grass of the
lawn. He looked at me with a disappointed expression,
"Why do you have to be so difficult all the time?" He
sighed, I merely looked at him as he shut the door in my
face. "Bloody two-legs.." I hissed under my breath.
It was cold. Freezing, I brushed the pad of my paw along
the surface of the snow and stared at it in interest. I'd
only seen this two times. When I was three moons old,
and now here. I dipped my head to sniff it curiously, licking
it to see what it tasted like. It melted almost instantly on
my tongue and I realized I was thirsty. Eating snow was
something new to me, and new things kept me
entertained. I licked up the snow and shivered as I
swallowed it.
Bleh, definitely a new experience. I licked the rest of the
snow from my muzzle and sneezed, my fur bristled to
keep the rest of my body warm. It was boring, like this.
I was always alone, there were hardly any other kittypets
around here and I hadn't seen a loner or rogue in days.
My ebony tail drooped and I looked across the large
garden, slowly rising to my paws and padding along the
frost-tinted grass. I might as well just stay here until my
two-leg opened the door again. But it got a little stupid, I
was going to become ill out here! I looked around once
more and spied a pile of leaves under one of the trees.
Better then nothing. I walked towards it and buried my
slender shape amongst the frozen leaves. It was more
comfortable here, and I relaxed quite soon. My once
cold temperature recovered and I inhaled the crisp air.
My eyes straying towards the forest which was blocked from
my path by the fence. Sure, I could go there. But why?
There were many dangers out there. Not today, maybe in
Newleaf. I couldn't stand the cold, I preferred the warm
sanctuary of the two-leg nest. My tail was wrapped around
my body and I buried my face into it. I noticed that I
was not alone anymore, I caught the scent of another
cat. I couldn't tell what type it was, kittypet, loner, clan ect.
I just knew there was a cat. I opened my right eye, the
darker blue one and looked up, "Hello?" I called
in a rather flat tone, I was tired.
