[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=black]Kit - Crowstar the ill feeling Words - Best muse EVER - 377 is the most amazing muse in the WORLD. Notes - Must... Adress... Starclan... d**ned... Clan... For... Clan... Meeting... THE PAIN.
Crowstar got up feebly from his den. He knew his mate and kits were safe now, and he toddled out of his den to his rock of doom. Whispers went around the camp as cats saw Crowstar feebly emerge from his den.
He wanted to appear strong, oh yes, of COURSE he did, but, as Ashenpaw said, he needed to rest - a lot. But, it was the night of the clan gathering, and to not go would make Starclan d**n his clan even worse than the disease.
"All cats... Old enough to... Gather their own food... Please... Uh, gather?" Crowstar said. This time, Poppyclaw and her kits emerged. They were to be apprenticed today. Crowstar closed his eyes.
'Pick the right cat for the job... Right cat for job...' He thought to himself. "Tonight is the night of the gathering, and the night of my kits naming ceremonies. Dustkit, step forward."
Dustkit, his cute little daughter, toddled forwards, sticking her tonuge out at Grethkit, grinning. Grethkit huffed, and complained to Poppyclaw, who just laughed.
"Dustkit, tonight, despite this disease, I wish for your ancestors to see that you have remained strong, throughout everything. Dustkit, Before you are to become a warrior, and receive your warrior name, I name you Dustpaw. Drydusk, you are a strong cat, and I one day think you shall make a brilliant leader... Where is Drydusk anyway?" Crowstar had scanned all the cats that had gathered. He huffed. "Sorry Dustpaw, you'll have to wait for your mentor to get his butt into gear." He sighed.
"Grethkit, step forward." Grethkit nearly whooped as he darted forward next to his sister. His blue eyes grinned at her green eyes, and Dustpaw huffed at him.
"Grethkit, before you are ready to receive your warrior name, you shall hereaby be known as Grethpaw. Shadewing, you are a valiant.. Oh Starclan, are they BOTH gone?" Crowstar sighed. "Oh, when they get back I am going to punish them..." Crowstar said, his eyes narrowing. "I am going to punish them BAD." He grumbled. |

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=CC7722] "With any luck," mewled Sandfire, with her calmest voice, her ears flicking back with distaste for her Leader being out in the open when he should be resting. "They're out hunting. Or doing boarder patrol. Maybe Ashenpaw'll find them, I sent him out looking for herbs." To be honest, she was actually very excited. The kits were becoming apprentices, and the whole clan needed those extra mouths to turn into paws. She smiled warmly, as Blackpaw started to wriggle in her spot.
When the little black kit's blue eyes met her amber ones, she grinned widely, her ears twisting back timidly. [Aaah, like from Lion King when Simba and Nala were like "PLEEEEAZE"] her tail curling and uncurling. "I'll have [more? how many apprentices are there? xD] denmates! We can train together and I can show them the best hunting spots!" Blackpaw was probably excited because, of course, she was one of the older apprentices, she had been in the clan just as long as the new kits, and they were practically siblings. And she was older then them. It was just kind of cute to see her little black kit grow up so fast. Even if she couldn't technically have kits... Twilightstar's message made her stomach turn, but she pushed away the thought and stared back up to Crowstar. She stood up, her tail flicking.
"And you should be resting. Leader or not, the second Drydusk and Shadewing get back and you finish this ceremony, I demand as Shadowclan Medicine Cat that you get some rest."

Crowstar looked at Sandfire.
"Yes yes yes, but I must see my kits and their mentors... You know, them being my children and all." Crowstar sighed, as he watched the two kits playfight.
"I'm stronger than you!" Dustpaw mocked her big brother. "I got the guts, you're just a mommy's boy! Go run to mommy while I train with the best warrior ever!" She stuck her tongue out again. Poppyclaw sighed.
"Kit's there days always have to best one another..." She smiled, watching her children playfight. Then she remembered her black kit. Rookkit. She'd dreamt about her the other night, she was fine and well, and watching over her family to make sure they didn't die.
Crowstar lay down on his rock, waiting impatiently for the two young warriors to return.

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=47e32d] Kit - Dustpaw the impatient Words - 236 Notes - I'm gonna be better than you Mommapaw ;D
Dustpaw sat eagerly for a few minutes, before fidgeting. Her green eyes swivelled towards her brother, who was trying to look like he was loyal by not making a sound until his 'hero' got back to touch noses with him.
But Dustpaw knew, as her tail flicked, Drydusk was the best cat ever, and she knew Daddy would pick him in Blackpelt died, because Drydusk was much better than Shadewing in every way.
He was smart, cool, and he was fast, while his brother was big, stupid and fat. And slow. Dustpaw grinned to herself. She knew she'd learn the best things from Drydusk, and she'd be the first one made into a warrior. She loved Drydusk like a really big cool brother.
Dustpaw lay down on her back, her legs splayed out. She heard her brothers sigh.
"Don't be stupid Stupidpaw." She mewed, rolling in the dirt. Dustpaw was bored. "I bet it's all your stupid mentors fault. I saw them talking earlier, and Shadewing challenged Drydusk to a battle and it's all his fault!" Dustpaw huffed. |

Shadewing burst into camp, and saw Dustpaw and Grethpaw.. who were the two new apprentices Shadewing was probably to train one of. There were others gathered around, because it was a meeting of course. But Drydusk was going to have another, from what he heard from annoying little Ashenpaw That's a bad idea if I've ever seen one, giving us both apprentices that are siblings at the same time. Shadewing dug his claws into the cold mud, and walked over to Crowstar. He was at a distance that he was still looking at him, and it was apparent who he was talking to, but not close enough to touch noses."Forgive me Crowstar, Drydusk and I were out for a short while. I left first, but knowing Drydusk he'll be here any moment." Shadewing said to his leader, dipping his head. "I am sorry for being out."
Shadewing twitched his fur, as it drizzled lightly. "But I heard I was receiving an apprentice today.. is that right?" Shadewing asked Crowstar. Shadewing couldn't help but be excited. He had a chance of being deputy now. All he could hope was that when the deputy was being chosen, Ashenpaw wasn't part of it. Because that would be choosing favorites.

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=black] Kit - Crowstar the relieved Words - 215 Notes - Y u so late?
Crowstar looked from Shadewing to Grethpaw.
"Yes, you are training Grethpaw." Crowstar mewed, as Grethpaw bounded over to Shadewing. His head turned back to his sister and he stuck his tongue out, and Dustpaw huffed, muttering something under her breath.
"I expect you to teach him everything you know. Where was I? Oh yes. Blah de Blah, you shall now be known as Grethpaw blah blah blah, Shadewing you are a valiant and a strong cat, who learns from his mistakes, pass on your knowledge ot Grethpaw." Crowstar whizzed through the ceremony. "And now I just need to wait for Drydusk..." He sighed, his claws patting the rock, making a cling noise.
Dustpaw sat down, huffing. "All stupid Shadewing's fault I would have had my mentor greet me first if it wasn't for that stupid fat slow cat." She muttered under her breath, narrowing her eyes at her brother who just stuck his tongue out her, his blue eyes glistening with mischeviousness.

Shadewing touched noses with his apprentice. "Grethpaw, would you rather learn to hunt and learn the warrior code right now, or do you want to rest a little and learn the warrior code before we begin training?" Shadewing asked his new apprentice, looking down at his with his bright blue eyes. "I can do either one, depending on what you want." He said, sitting down and waiting for a reply, black fur waving in the wind. "I'll teach you everything I know, Grethpaw. You'll be a very powerful warrior someday if you learn everything and keep the skills of a warrior handy.. I'll make you proud of yourself by the end of your training. I'll make everyone in the clan proud of you. But first things first, either way I still need to teach you the warrior code, or else all of our training will go to complete waste."
Shadewing yawned, streching out his scarlet tongue, and then closing his mouth again. He was tired from the fight, but it was no worry to him. Apprentice first, Shadewing later.

Slowing down I look around and I am so amazed I think about the little things that make life great I wouldn't change a thing about it This is the best feeling
Word Count: 326 Cat: Drydusk the Mentor Notes: he's baaackkkk
He entered the camp slowly, silently, carefully, his ears pricked for any sign of danger. He shook out his coat- the loudest sound he made since he entered- getting the small bits of ice out of his pelt. His cheek stung from getting hit by the ice, but it had been cleaned out from the rain and felt like it was healing now. Nothing serious. His blue eyes stared around, landing on his leader and the lone apprentice who had no mentor- until he had come home.
A smile ran across his maw, as he trotted forward, dipping his head. "My brother beat me," he purred with no hint of surprise. "I tried looking for something to bring home to make up for my absence." His ears flicked back and he felt embarassed again, but he raised his head and smiled brightly, his blue eyes locking on small Dustkit. He remembered with amusement that he didn't want to be called Drydust. He wondered if the little ginger she-cat wanted a different name.
His tail flicked, and he blinked once, trying to look a bit senseful. "I suppose my brother told you what happened?" He asked, sounding calm. After all, he wasn't going to try and explain himself when his brother had all ready. His brother had enough breath- unlike him and his half crushed lungs- to explain. He smiled at Dustkit while he spoke to Crowstar, feeling a burning pride start to rise up in him. He should get his apprentice today... If.
"I'm not too late, am I?" He glanced at Crowstar, the black tom with blue eyes, sort of like him and his brother, except not. He was much wiser, his eyes held the knowledge of many moons. He was a bit envious. But someday, he vowed silently to himself, he would be that. He stood as tall and as proud as he could- waiting for his apprentice with hopefulness.
((dustpaw is still dustkit as far as Drydusk knows, remember))

Silktail: [atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=black] Kit - Crowstar the more relieved Words - 240 Notes - You took yer time. Now my kits can truely be apprentices *waves little flag*
Crowstar's eyes finally saw the grey pelt and soft blue eyes of Drydusk. He almost hoorayed, finally, both his kits could begin their training.
"Drydusk, you're here..." Crowstar smiled. "Right, Dustkit, blah blah blah, de blah, you shall hereafter be known as Dustpaw. Drydusk, you are a strong cat, and you shall make a fine leader one day. Pass on your wit to Dustpaw." Crowstar said. "And now, to a more pressing matter. The gathering is tonight, and in my state I shall not be able to attend. Neither shall Blackpelt. In my place, I wish for Drydusk to be our makeshift leader, and to give news. Other cats may go to the gathering if they wish, but, Sandfire's orders me to rest. Can't deny a Medicine Cat." Crowstar said, struggling to his feet. Poppyclaw bound over to his side, helping support his weight.
Dustpaw raced over to Drydusk.
"You're leader for the day!" She purred, her eyes glinting in admiration. "I knew Daddy would pick you over your brother!" She smiled, touching noses with her mentor.

Sandfire: [atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=000000]
And suddenly it isn't what it used to be And after all this time it worked out just fine And suddenly I am where I'm supposed to be And after all the tears I was supposed to be here
Word Count: 548 Cat: Drydusk the Surprised Notes: Thank you Cro-... wut o__o
First came the pride. Drydusk had an apprentice. Duskpaw was a cute apprentice, bright and orange. He'd have to teach her the ways of the shadows, just like he had learned. It would be hard for her, with his pelt, but he learned a trick from Sandfire when he was merely a kit. Back then she would roll in the dirt, he remembered vaguely. That would help cover up her coat and make her duller. And then Nightshade's training would make them both the best shadow stalking cats ever. And she was big and strong, she could even be a better warrior than himself someday, with his own training. That made him all the more proud. He'd love to see his own apprentice best him some day. He purred softly, dipping his head. "Thank you, Crowstar."
"Good, now you should get to your den, Crowstar," Sandfire's scorn-filled, light voice told the Leader. He wondered with slight amusement if that was where Ashenpaw got his bossy attitude. However, Crowstar wasn't finished. His ears pricked when he heard Crowstar continue, and his blue eyes, wide, landed neatly on his Leader. The wise black cat who he knew all his life was intrusting... intrusting him... to lead the clan to the Gathering? His pelt nearly stood on end- only kept down by wetness. His new apprentice cheering next to him was drowned out by a wave of thoughts. Me? Crowstar wants me... But surely... Can't someone else? Am I really the best choice? It wasn't that he was denying the fact that he should have been chosen. He was supposed to become leader... someday... But he was surprised that Crowstar had picked out him. It meant something special to be picked to lead the clan. Honored, he lowered his head, a bit speechless. His eyes were closed as he did so, but the opened and he glanced at his brother, wondering how he would take it.
They had... Had always been rivals. This was something that meant a lot to both of them. He hoped his brother would be happy for him, but he doubted it. He knew that even he would be annoyed and aggitated if his brother had been chosen. He would have thought he was smarter and more mature... His brother was probably thinking he looked stronger and could handle a clan better than him. He felt horrible, because they were both right. Still- remembering his brother when they had became warriors... Remembering the snobby, better-than-you voice his brother had used, claiming he would be leader some day, he raised his head and looked back at Crowstar.
"Who else is allowed to go?" He asked, his tail flicking the shoulder of his apprentice, wishing she would be quiet. He would teach her to be a bit nicer to her littermate. There was a time to boast and a time not to boast. Right now, for example, would not be a good time to rub it in his brothers face. He took a deep breath and felt that same rush of pride from when he had entered camp. All of his clan would be following him very soon.
((I think that's good. <: ))

Abyssus: [atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=000000] Count: 1002 Warrior: Shadewing the angry/depressed Involved: Crowstar, Dustpaw, Grethpaw, Sandfire, and Drydusk Notes: two moods at once, go Shadewing.
Two for Drydusk, zero for Shadewing.
Shadewing managed not to hiss when Crowstar announced Drydusk being leader for the day. When he screws up, they'll know I'm fit for leadership, not him.. Too much bias for Drydusk.. How much longer can I take this? Shadewing felt like there was a stone in his throat, and stopped talking. Did he say he'd make a fine leader some day? I swear that sometimes StarClan is out to make my life miserable. Can't you see I deserve it more than Drydusk? I'm a hard worker and everything, perfect for leadership, while Drydusk is a tiny, nimble cat and the only thing that will ever earn him any respect if he were leader is how he's above average when it comes to intelligence. But I'm big, powerful, have a normal amount of intelligence for a cat my age, and have a strong sense of order. I fail to understand most of the cats in my clan sometimes. Well, if they make Drydusk a real leader, they'll see how well the clan fares.. I'd like to see Dry"star". Ha, ShadowClan would be gone once they learned he was leader, he'd be under attack so much.. morons.. The black cat eyed Drydusk. He hated him with a passion right now. him, Ashenpaw, and the scales were tipping towards hate with Crowstar.. since to him, all Shadewing was was 'valiant'. So apparently I'm just like a hero? What does he mean by that? Is that a polite way of saying that you'll never be anything but a warrior, even though you ARE ten times better than you're brother, I'm just too mouse-brained to realize it? Pah, I don't care. I'll prove myself. I'll train Grethpaw to only be a little weaker than me. I just need to please Crowstar. A lot. Because everyone likes Drydusk.. because probably once was the underdog. But he's not an underdog anymore, with everyone loving him and idolizing him. Shadewing could only think, and convince himself not to fail at training Grethpaw. And he had to hope that Crowstar would pull through. He'd first die before let his brother be leader over him. It'd be embarrassing, and since his rival would be above him, he wouldn't be a favorite in the clans, for sure, no doubt.
Shadewing adverted his gaze from his brother, preparing for a snotty comment from the piece of fox-dung. Shadewing knew he wasn't going to the gathering. He knew he wasn't going to be treated well. Not by his brother, by any means. They both hated each other.
No matter what anyone said in Crowstar's defense, or anyone's comfort towards Shadewing.. it would only make Shadewing more angry. Shadewing wanted his own chance at leadership. If Drydusk became leader because Shadewing never got a chance.. Shadewing would likely pop someone's eyes out in fury. Would Shadewing still be in ShadowClan? Probably not. Yes, he was realizing the fact that he didn't want anything but the best made him seem like a kit. But nobody understood how he thought, how he acted, why.. It was all driven by ambition, but the stories of Tigerstar ruined the word ambition. You had to be small and modest to be leader now, or else you'd kill others to get there.
No, I know why they don't like me. It's because I'm of rogue blood, isn't it? It doesn't matter how good I am or not. Crowstar's just giving Drydusk and guilt trip, because he feels so bad. But Crowstar doesn't like me in the first place, so he doesn't see it necessary to even make me feel good. He hates rogues, and it doesn't matter how loyal or powerful or friendly they are. All that matters to Crowstar is blood, I bet. Or else he would have trusted one of his few healthy warriors to help with some things. But because we're half rogue, I don't get any respect. Isn't that right, Crowstar? I don't matter, Drydusk doesn't matter. Maybe you're just taunting me. You just want me to kill myself. You're jealous of the fact that I'm healthy, and I'm not pure clan blood, isn't that right? Shadewing went down into a laying down position, and shifted his paws. Mhm. Well, I'm not going to give up to that cur of a brother. I won't let him succeed. I will be above him, like I should be. Shadewing blinked, and quickly glanced at Crowstar, in a gaze that didn't look angry, or sad. He just looked at him for a little while, and then let out a quiet sigh.
Great StarClan Crowstar, are you out to get me? Why couldn't Sandfire be leader for a day? She's already a highly ranked, she'd at least know what to do! She's just nice too.. or at least I think she is.. I've been wrong so many times before today, it wouldn't come as a surprise to me if she was actually sick and twisted. Shadewing closed his eyes, and then looked at his apprentice.
"Just because your brother gets a mentor that's leader for a day doesn't mean your brother is stronger than you. It's only a day, until moon high. Then he's back to being a warrior. It's nothing significant." Shadewing meowed quietly, though it seemed like he was soothing himself rather than soothing Grethpaw.
Being the best warrior that ever lived.. kit dreams, nothing less, nothing more. But remember what you told your apprentice.. It's just for a day.. you could be tomorrow. Or maybe he will be tomorrow. Oh, StarClan, sometimes I just can't take this place!

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=black] Kit - Crowstar the sort-of-peeved-again Words - 317 Notes - I need to speak to depression cat. NOW. This is why I picked Drydusk ><
Crowstar saw Shadewing's fury rise up. He could tell, he was special the leader, he had to pick up on these things. "Anyone who wishes to go. Shadewing, I wish to speak to you immeadiatly." Crowstar sighed, and Poppyclaw sat by his side. "Crowstar, you shoulden't be too... Stressed, you need to rest dear." She mewed, nuzzling him gently. Crowstar nuzzled her back, watching Shadewing's every move. He would be angry. Very angry. But if he had picked him, he knew Drydusk would have taken it better.
For Shadewing to be leader, he needed to let his ambition cool, and understand that you didn't have to be strong to be a great leader. You had to be compassionate, smart, quick-thinking, and most of all, put his clan before everything, even his own life. Shadewing lacked this, and his ambition got in the way. He hoped that he could teach Grethpaw that he was better than that. To show Crowstar he was fit to be leader.
Dustpaw saw that Drydusk wanted her to be quiet, so she was silent. When her father spoke, she knew it would be a stern talk to Shadewing. She knew he was more ambitious than Drydusk, and he needed to learn that ambition is not everything, and ambition can kill.
Grethpaw looked over at his sister. He knew what she was thinking. They were twins after all. He knew that yes, Shadewing would teach him, but maybe, just maybe, he could teach him something as well.

What do you do, What do you do When everything is broken What do you say, What do you say When no words fit the moment
Word Count: 255 - bad muse Cat: Drydusk the Unsure/Trying Notes: =/ Mannnn.
Also- I thiiiink Dustpaw might not like this idea |D; -tries to make it a good experience-
Him and Shadewing were twins too, but they weren't the closest of siblings. His tail flicked and he smiled down at his apprentice. She was a bright cat, he was lucky. He nodded to her for a second and padded over to his brother- who he realized was still quite, quite larger than him. He always would be. He ran a tongue across his brother's shoulder blade in apologies- it wasn't like he saw this coming. He wasn't sure how he could cheer his brother up- but he felt reaaally bad that he would have to talk to Crowstar. That was never a good sign. Even the tiniest of kits knew that, especially when the leader used the word immediately.
After a short pause, he turned around and looked to his apprentice. "Well, the weather's pretty nasty," he told her thoughtfully- frozen rain could hurt. "So I think a good first lesson would be to learn patience and putting the clan first." He moved towards her again until he was close enough that he could like her forehead. "I changed Goldentail's bedding this morning, but that's normally the job of apprentices. Seeing as how I went from apprentice duties to leading a gathering, I think you should try it too. Goldentail told me to get an apprentice to clean her pelt for ticks. If you do a really nice job, I'll let you help me lead the clan to the Gathering. How does that sound?"

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=47e32d] Kit - Dustpaw the feeling down Words - 293 Notes - TICKS?!?! Oh God >< Why me? ;;
Dustpaw stopped herself from moaning. She nodded, and looked over at her brother. She could tell he was feeling edgy because his mentor was edgy. She sighed. Plus, ticks were NOT Dustpaw's thing. She had some sort of phobia of them.
"Yes Drydusk!" She said, forcing herself to be optimistic. Ticks. Ew. She hated the guts out of them, remembering how her brother used to squish them in front of her, it made her squirm just to think about it.
She padded towards the elder's den, almost empty apart from her grandmother, the ill mother of her mother, and Goldentail, who remained ever stubborn to not die.
"Helloe Goldentail!" Dustpaw smiled, trying to stop herself from wretching. She was greeted with a smile. "Drydusk sent me because you said you needed someone to get rid of your ticks, and that's my job!" No matter how much it makes me feel sick... She added to herself. Goldentail smiled.
"Kit, you are going to be a fine warrior. You think of others first." Her mother padded over.
"Hello mother!" Dustkit purred, rubbing her head into Poppyclaw's soft ginger fur. Poppyclaw smiled.
"I am taking on Mosskit as an apprentice when they reach their time. Kits can wait until I am older." Poppyclaw purred, licking her kits forehead. Dustpaw mewled in delight, smiling broadly. Then she turned to Goldentail.
Here goes... She thought, starting to groom Goldentail's fur. |

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=000000] Count: 203 Warrior: Shadewing the angry/depressed Involved: Crowstar, Dustpaw, Grethpaw, Sandfire, and Drydusk Notes: lalala bad mood =[
Shadewing suppressed a small growl. He was going to be talked to like an apprentice. Everyone knew that by now. Today was going to be a horrible day.. at least it was almost over. But whether it would carry into tomorrow was undetermined. Crowstar was probably going to babble on about how he's too stupid or not fit to be leader, but in a nice way of course. He'd probably be in trouble for being late, rolling his eyes.. but Drydusk would get off the hook because he was everyone's favorite. This better be good, Crowstar. This better not be some kind of soothing little talk about how Drydusk got picked, but you're still a good warrior.. because then I would have seriously overestimated his opinion of me from a stupid warrior to a stupid kit.
Shadewing walked into Crowstar's den, shooting daggers at anyone who looked at him. As he appeared inside of the den, he dug his claws into the ground. "Make it quick. I have an apprentice to train, and a snobby in-your-face brother to avoid. And if I spend too long in here they'll think I was bawling my eyes out."
